Do we know for sure Quinn is gone? I thought when Dar was in there they said if he didnt wake up soon he would be downgraded to minimally conscious. Is the reading of his letter signaling his death?
Whats the actor's contract like? Seemed like one of those intenionally vague cliffhangers that they could take either way.
I took it as at the end when Carrie took the heart monitor off his finger and put it on herself, that she was going to put him out of his suffering.
That thing she took off his finger is simply something that measures his SpO2, or basically his oxygen saturation. It isn't really vital or didnt keep him alive or anything.
I didn't know exactly what it did. It just had the vibe to me that she was going to kill him since it didn't appear he was recovering.
Does that think sound off an alarm to the nurses though if the levels get to low? I took it as she was going to "pull the plug" on him before she saw the light. She put that on her finger to not sound the alarm.
Yeah, I am not sure how closely they are monitored, but they are on the same screen as heart rate/rhythm, BP, respirations, etc. All of those would remain stable even with the oxygen thing off. I did find it odd she put a chair in front of the door..
That would work if she planned on staying in the room on a permanent basis. I mean she would eventually have to take the thing off and the alarm would go off.
But by then Quinn would be dead and the nursers would not be able to "save" him. She could just say that he stopped breathing and they would not know what she did. The doctor said he was severely brain damaged so even if he woke up it wouldn't matter, which is why Carrie ended it.
I just watched the finale. As much as it is implied that Quinn died, this is Homeland. They are not against misleading and outright cheating and tricking the audience, so until they acknowledge it next season you can never assume.
He gone...was a good season, can't wait to see where they go with this next year. What does Carrie do, she has some great options.
EWagmeister #Homeland Season 6 will shoot in NYC. The new season will primarily be set domestically in the U.S. #Showtime #TCA16 1/12/16, 4:36 PM
They are filming right now across the street from one of my friend's house, so yes...makes sense. We are on the North Shore of Long Island.
"Stand down" "NO YOU STAND DOWN" "I don't think you understand how vulnerable you are" "I don't think YOU do" man they really killed it with the dialogue
Show will definitely suffer from a Quinn who is drugged out and a mess. Hopefully he's back on track shortly.
Me, too. But, I think that was the intention. They really wanted to show how far he has fallen and how fucked he is. Nothing like a great redemption arc for the season. Overall, a pretty disappointing premiere. But, this show has often had those types of set up shows and the season recovers. I'm hoping for that again.
first two episodes sucked. I don't want to see some shit story about falsely accused kid, gimpy simple jack, saul and dar incompetent cia bad guys. Let's get back to wrecking shit
I remember kinda wanting to quit watching the year they had the Carrie in a mental hospital bait thing but that ended up being pretty great. I had a friend who actually did give up 1 episode before the reveal and I think just out of principle or something he's never gone back no matter how good we told him it got.
Was really hoping for a big ep. 0-2 is not a good start on this season. I'm sure it'll turn around, but this is bad
I do like the Dar holding back the Carrie pics from Saul. That's going to go somewhere. I assume Dar is thinking Saul is getting soft and/or is too easily fooled by women to be trusted anymore.
Is Dar is good or bad guy? I can never figure it out. Also don't know how Saul can still have a damn job there when he gets played by everyone.
I think he's a man who understands self preservation first and foremost. He's going to make decisions that benefit him, whether that's helping Saul or not.
I'm in the middle of season 3 and this shit is getting retarded. Does this show get back to being good?
Episode 3: shit is starting to heat up. Started out slow. Ol' quiver lips is gonna be all kinds of fucked up when that kid she gets released from jail turns jihadist. I of course will like it.
Ep1 - Boring Ep2 - Terrible Ep3 - Dis about to get good, but still underwhelming. Would expect the season to take off from here on out though and be solid
It's like someone said to the showrunners after the first two episodes: "Why in the world are you nerfing the most badass and interesting character on the show?" And there response was: "Shit. Why ARE we doing that? Time for a hard fix."
At least we have a touch of Quinn coming back. That is all this trainwreck has going for it. Still unfathomable that Carrie is talking to the fucking president. They spent years showing how bad she is at her job and her mental instability and yet all of these people fight for her and love her.
Agree. But, looking at previews for next week, I'm not so optimistic. I'm hoping the previews are entirely misleading as they have been in previous seasons.
Had a sense that episode was coming but thought it was a few more weeks down the road. Definitely has my attention for now.
