I can't find myself excited over high school recruiting anymore, though getting a VA guy is great. So many of those guys commit, decommit, never see the field, transfer, etc. I'm a portal guy now.
i noticed all of the VA kids who committed to Cuse and Rutgers visited them in the summer/spring period. those poor kids will be back in state after a winter freezing and losing games.

our signing day class hilariously low. we clearly didn’t get money in time to impact this year’s, but off to a good start for ‘27. will be portaling hard again for 20 spots.
I’m surprised we didn’t benefit from our success and local competition imploding this year with more flips.
most were already committed out of state to the likes of UGA, Cuse, UMD, and Rutgers before VT imploded, and PSU only had a few from VA.

Michigan has 3 of the top 10, I left them out. the Rutgers, Cuse, and UMD kids make me sick. Also Pitt has a few really nice LBs from VA committed. i think we were so far behind in the recruitment of the '26 class, by the time we started using the money. we have a better shot for the next few classes if Tony can keep plugging away in the portal until they get in. it seems like the portal numbers are down again, but we portal'd differently than other schools anyway.
@PrestonWillett UVA coach Tony Elliott confirms QB Chandler Morris is looking into getting an additional year of eligibility. Still TBD, but Elliott is currently planning the quarterback progression for next year without Morris.
