I'd rather a hotel than an expensive airb&b because of the said expense and the rules and limitations you have on yourself when using an airB&B. You can get hotels that have their own bedrooms. Just don't go to the saint louis obispo roadhouse hotel. The last time we were there we checked in about 5 minutes too late. They hadn't cleaned the room up. Literally somebody had taken a shit on the bed, pissed in the spa bath, spewed in the shower. Just before they checked out. It was fucking disgusting.
Thanks. This happened when my parents and i were on our way to Sanfransico on holiday in the september/october holidays in 1993. We had driven from Los Angeles to Saint Louis Obispo roadhouse (it was pink at the time) they had a weird check in time.
We have had some bad Airbnb experiences from people entering the home, to finding windows slightly opened and multiple curtains covering the window and just outlandish fees. Think we are a hotel family for now.
The horrors of spending 10 minutes cleaning up after yourself! But I wish her luck in finding a hotel on the beach that can hold 12 people for $650/night. You'd blow that on the dinner you couldn't cook yourself alone.
I'm not even that passionate about the debate, even tho I prefer Airbnbs, but for being such a self-anointed internet expert, bro sure is posting some click-baity headlines.
Idk what that means. But this person is complaining about a room cost that's not likely to be beaten for a similar place and an inability to be a slob. But again, I hope she has better luck at a hotel.
Have you ever actually done this? Every airbnb I've stayed at has had the same rules. Did this 5 days ago and it took 10 minutes.
Starting laundry is a bit much, but idk really see an issue with cleaning dishes/starting the dishward/removing food/taking out the trash. We do that at most houses we stay at and tbqh I clean up hotel rooms before I leave. Put trash/food/etc in the trash can b/c I'm not a piece of shit person. What's more....I do wonder what the "Show More" displays. I'm pretty sure AirBnB requires checkout policies to be listed. If they are different, just don't do them and report this person.
The last two places I stayed even had daily full service housekeepers that we tipped and I still washed my dishes b/c TBQH I'd feel like a piece of shit cooking breakfast for my entire family then forcing it on someone else. I can help a little bit. Doesn't bother me
Tweet, X, headline, any words you want to use for describing dramatic words that gloss over the actual story. As others are mentioning, that's not like some over the top request. Do the dishes? Unless you've lived like an absolute slob during your time, hopefully they've been periodically done. Remove garbage and check for your belongings? The horror! Or you probably couldn't do that, because most hotel rooms lack a full kitchen. Another perk for Airbnb, especially if you're staying more than a week. Posting one-off horror stories of an out-of-context bad Airbnb experience is the equivalent of me scouring trip advisor for the lowest-rated review from a 5* hotel.
If it’s for work I’m doing a hotel, family vacation most likely we’re doing a Airbnb. Do I potentially pay more or some stupid fees? Maybe. Do I care? Not really.
Appears the Ritz hates disabled people. Would you pefer to rinse a plate or be confined to your room where the staff hates you b/c you can't walk?
Yes, the guy getting triggered by a tweet regarding AriBnB from a random account self described as "38 year old wife, mom, grandma, persistent UFC applicant, Alaskan, MMA enthusiast, Jesus appreciator, matchmaker, mentor, sister to many"
Basic clean up like throwing away trash, cleaning up spills, not leaving a mess should be expected and appreciated. Having some random guests do the laundry is fucking stupid. If I’m staying at an Airbnb I don’t want to just be trusting some random houseguest to have correctly washed everything. Leave it to the pros
Seems that is a step to far for our hotel slobs whom live in trash cans at home. Appears everyone agrees
This But also in a hotel you're a guest there. You should be doing the basics. The only thing you don't need to worry about are the bedsheets and floors. Just don't be a grot where you use the place as your toilet.
Man stabbed by neighbor at football watch party in Montrose Airbnb Sunday, police say https://abc13.com/stabbing-montrose-airbnb-football-watch-party-victim-fired-shots-back/14250400/
prob charge you an additional fee or some shit the real move is to do what my wife does whenever I ask her to do something she doesn’t want to do: you do a half assed job with some obvious defect like “forgetting to put laundry detergent in the load” or something
If it’s just me, or just me and my wife, hotels all day. If you’re traveling with a group, airbnb is the way to go.
