Thru ep 10 and have a question Spoiler Underwood's just excepted the nomination What is the reporter looking for? Know he's following the travel logs for inconsistencies, but what specifically is he looking for/tryig to get Frank on?

Finished it last night. As episode 13 ended I was like hell ya that was awesome. One more episode to go. Can't imagine how great it will be. What? Only 13 episodes? Fack....
Spoiler I got the sense that the purpose of the claire/yates storyline was to keep him from publishing anything. Could be wrong but I couldn't get that out of my head. Also, whose great idea was it to name two important characters Tom?
Spoiler he was talking about the Herald reporter (Hammerschmidt?) I'm pretty sure. Yates is just there because he's intrigued by the Underwood's and they bought him so that the Conway's couldn't use him
Spoiler the look on cathy's face when she realizes that frank just orchestrated a war to distract from a newspaper article was amazing. You could see the realization that she is in bed with an absolute monstar.
2 episodes left. I'm not sure what's more unbelievable, a husband/wife ticket or that no personality underwear model being the Republican nominee.
Same here just finished last night I just love this show so much. Actually started watching from the beginning season 1 after I got done cause I need more HOC in my life Someone else said it, bone chilling is how I would describe them. Just amazing
Or that the GOP would accept a British first lady. Spoiler I loved this season but it also turned from a show that I thought was fairly believable overall into just a damn good show that wasn't very realistic. In episode 3 when she introduced the VP idea I was super pissed at how ridiculous it was to write that in but glad they shut it down quick. When it gradually developed again over the course of the season I was more accepting of it for how they wrote it coming to that.
Finished. Huge step up from S3. Claire is still the worst. Curious about S5 with Willimon no longer involved.
So with the last scene... Spoiler I took it as implying that Frank & Claire orchestrated the whole hostage situation, but stepped it up to total war after finding out about the article

Spoiler disagree. They manipulated the end of the hostage crisis to their advantage, but had nothing to do with it actually happening
Spoiler no, I initially thought it might be a gambit they set up for Conway to fuck up in concordance to the article about him that came out, particularly after that last line about making the terror. The full blown war being a response to the article was pretty clear though.

I'm usually to lazy to do the spoiler thing... Spoiler I think it's stupid as shit to make Claire VP. Just makes the show 100% unbelievable
I think what made S1+2 so great was that Frank kept ascending. Watching him in S3 trying to fend off the competition made things plateau. He had nowhere to go but down, so this year was Claire manipulating her way up the food chain.
I hate Doug. I hate every scene he's in. And not like "he's a good villain" way like a "should I skip this scene" way Good season though. They used my old residence for a scene and that was cool to watch
I only hate it when they try to give him a heart, like with the hooker and the widow. A guy like that would never give a shit.
Is the actor playing Conway intentionally being this awful? Liked the season, no real complaints. Some epic moments and I never felt much of a lull.
I agree this season took another step towards fantasy/unbelievable, but it worked for me a lot more than seasons 2 or 3. Season 3 was such a disaster other than petrov who was my favorite character
