I thought she said it’s been 6 years since corlys left to fight in the step stones? So might’ve even been more than 6 years?
She had just had her third child when her and Daemon got married so their oldest, Aegon, is prolly like 4?
so good that it actually threw me off a little bit also, alicent's two boys switched hair styles from last episode, right? the kid with shorter hair who tamed the dragon now has the long hair and the long-haired kid has shorter hair and rapes his servants? that's what i understood but maybe i tuned out during some of it
what do the Targaryen/Strong kids look like on that site? I’m curious but afraid to look and spoiler myself
Yeah the Velaryons look just like the Targs pretty much. Happy they did what they did on the show. It points out more that her kids don’t look like Corlys or Daemons kids at all. Targs can have brown hair so it wouldn’t have been as heavy handed as it was on the show and left it more open to they could be Laenor’s.
Yeah the site is useful but you will absolutely spoiler yourself. Better just asking questions here than googling character stuff.
Nice. Didn’t pick that up. In the book Vaemond is causing all this ruckus from the Driftmark. Rhaenyra has Daemon go there to murk him.
just finished the last episode, gotta say, the setup in this show is impeccable..., gonna be an epic battle.
I forgot if we were told. The setup in the beginning that explained the circumstances around Viserys taking the throne was before I really knew the characters. If Aemon was/is alive why did he not get the throne? Do we know Aemon?
Aemon and Baelon were both dead (both were named heirs at one point) so they had a council to decide who would become heir. there were a bunch of claimants but I believe Rhaenys (and Laenor) and Viserys were the only strongly considered. the show kind of left Laenor out of it though, but in the book he's in the final vote, not his mother.
Ok thanks. Maybe I didn’t understand the chart then. I assumed those with pictures were alive at some point during the show.
here’s that opening scene. Probably makes more sense now after seeing things play out to where we are.
Awesome penultimate episode next week should be crazy. She doesn’t “barbecue” them for like a million reasons.
That was easily my favorite episode of the season so far. Wait and see how next week unfolds but that was awesome.
Dipshit Aegon saying the smartest thing of the entire episode when he pointed out that his dad had 20 years to do what he allegedly did on his death bed.
So this reminds me of a question I have. I had always assumed that at least some targaryens were fireproof. Is that not the case? Was Dany just a completely unique case?
read somewhere that her living and dragons hatching were the result of the blood magic from the witch Dany used to try and save Drogo.
Might be misremembering but didn’t the king in episode one like hold his hand over a candle maybe foreshadowing being fire proof? May be totally off base here
Spoiler: Answer to your question. Only spoilering since we are in tv thread no. It was lost when Brynden rivers Spoiler 3 eyed Raven went north of the wall and never returned
This is the thing I keep going back to...no reasonable person in that entire world is going to believe the Hightowers when they say that. They should have been laughed out of the room.
Well the people in the one room (a few at least) tried to stand up to them and they were basically sent off to be executed. Then all the city folk in the dragon pit at the end obviously have no power whatsoever so they can't really do much anyway.
and also as they have alluded to throughout the whole show people want a King not a Queen on the throne and there has been 20 years of building to usurp her.
Is this his reward for the evil acts he puts in motion? She allows him to jerk off to her feet? She clearly knows what he's doing...
Who was the guy hanging from the railing when Rhaenys was leaving? The guy that was caught at the gates?
