And ended up costing them. Should’ve sent him despite Maldy being slow as fuck, only way he’d score on a sac fly thereafter is if it was to warning track
Just ran into two people who went to the team store and got the space city stuff and it’s cheaper online than in store.
A healthy Bregman bounce back campaign would be pretty darn nice. You could tell he wasn’t right last year.
Yep, totally and i appreciate him trying to gut it out late in the year. Yet, he clearly wasn't right still after coming back from the quad injury and wish he had taken himself out of the lineup or asked to be moved down in the lineup in the WS since his wrist was obviously injured (and he ended up having surgery within a few days of the season ending).
His quick hands are his greatest asset in my very amateur assessment. That wrist was so critical down the stretch.
No major leaguer wants to be taken out of the lineup, especially a gamer like Bregman and in the playoffs/World Series no less, but he was clearly not right and I'll long wonder if things could've been different if he wasn't batting 3 all postseason except for like the very last game. I won't wonder about it as long as I still do about whether Hinch would've brought in a fully warmed up Gerrit Cole late in Game 7 against the Nationals rather than an overused and gassed Will Harris, especially since Cole probably had a glove-full of spider tack ready to go at the moment. Yet, I do still wonder about it...
Yeah been pretty obvious that a bunch of teams were doing the same stuff. It’s why I don’t care at all about the sign stealing. Just sucks that Luhnow and Hinch had to be the fall guys because click and dusty are both severe drop offs from those two
Agree. You are lying to yourself if you truly think the Astros were the only ones doing this. As a fan I am so over this issue still being brought up, can’t even imagine what it is like for the players.
Also pedro Leon is raking in aaa If pena keeps playing well have to think they’ll move him back to center field and if he keeps it up he’ll be in Houston at some point this summer
We’ll still get to hear about it on national broadcasts until the end of time. No chance the Red Sox or Yankees will ever be held to account.
i wish drellich was still covering the astros. he did not have an issue calling them out. he would be absolutely going IN on dusty
That would be a cool idea, along with getting together for some random games at like West Alabama Ice House, the Cellar, the Patio, etc. (or trying out a different spot each time). I have 50/50 custody of my kids so should be available 50% of the time ;)
