Gotta pick a league first before you pick a team.

 

I'm assuming you'll be following the EPL. You'll have the most access to that league and being in the same language helps as well, but just follow it (or whatever league) for awhile, games and highlight shows, and see if you like a team.

I frankly don't give a shit about any European team, but I just enjoy watching high level play in great atmospheres over there. I do root for teams with Americans on them, but not necessarily a fan of those teams.

Everton is the best EPL option.

Don't listen to any of these stereotypes or crap opinions. Pick an efficient, consistent overachiever with a legitimate rivalry located in a major city that doesn't have an overbearing bandwagon. That will lead you to Everton, The People's Club.
