It's Poutine week! I will try to get you guys some pics. Going tonight and tomorrow. Trying this one tonight https://quebec.lapoutineweek.com/fr/restaurant/fistons-resto-bistro Other options https://quebec.lapoutineweek.com/
Finally had to go somewhere else. They were full so we went to plan b, this picture doesn't do it justice but this was very good. BBQ sauce, sweet potatoes, chipotle mayo, fried oignions, pulled porc and of course curd cheese. I forgot to take a pic but it looks just like that, looks like the sauce is lacking but everything was juicy enough...very good.
Tomorrow The Poutine is actually in the big nugget you see in the middle, they put mozzarella cheese, curds In a fried potatoes pasta...under it it's a paddy with bacon. but I will also order this as a side cause I want to die
"It's cold. They're driving snowmobiles hunting for wolves, so when they get home they want foie gras. And braised beef. And fries." Love Matty.
This is a timely bump Basically the closest thing in London to Poutine.... No meat, but dat gravy is actually damn good for British standards. Just ordered as our appetizer.
I am starting to think about starting a Poutine shack In the us, not that hard to drive fresh curds down there.
Had poutine for 1st time this past week while visiting manitoulin island. Had fries with gravy bacon cheese curds and bacon with Buffalo chunks. Damn good.
It was. Usually UK fries are on point. Had this in London last night and fries were subpar, which ruined the dish: Spicy Pepperoni was nice, and you cant tell but tons of Marinara which served as the gravy...but the fries were soft and bland.
Sorry I'm drunk and should have said what and where. La Banquise in Montreal. Bottom is Sud-Ouest (Guac, onion rings, bacon, onions) and the Maddie (onions, peppers, mushrooms)
Just woke up, headed to work and getting some pouts from Patati Patata. Looking forward to it, but holy shit my head hurts.
Went to visit the in laws in Timmins last weekend. Chez Nous is the spot for poutine up there. Shit is amazing. Off to Toronto today...hopefully we can find a place that has good poutine.
This batch comes swimming in gravy and you can order it with graded mozza on top. By the time you get it home it's a seeet blend.
I'm going to denver in november and I am going to crush some poutine at euclid hall and i don't even care if denvers not in canada
Did not try this one, but there is bacon, baloney, sausage and a goddam Tim Horton honey donut on top .
One of the more accalimed chefs in Atlanta has a restaurant stall in Mercedes Benz Stadium. Does a menu item each match based on opponent; so obviously when we play Montreal today Poutine was being served. Sold out of the curds before the game began. Rofl.
In Philly and was going to get a cheese steak. Look across the street and there’s a Smokes Poutine. Died and went to heaven
Had poutine for the first time when I went to Game 2 of the Penguins and Flyers series. Granted it was arena quality but it was very good.
It’s always good but high quality poutine is top tier. Fries should stay crisp, the curds should start to melt and the sauce should be hot but not so hot that it burns when you eat, still hot enough to melt the curds a little
I bet Belgium could have an amazing poutine with the fry quality, but alas they like to keep things healthy. Maybe a Gouda or a Gruyere based poutine, with the egg topping that is used for the white esparagus dish. Or perhaps poutine au gratin du jambon
