Minnesota Press Conference Reporter: Coach, How does that loss feel? Coach Brunswick: Obviously it's a little disappointing as we put ourselves in a hole in the first half with two fumbles and a failed 40 yard field goal attempt. I know my kicker is a piece of shit but for some reason I had put faith in the young man. Also, Coach Gilmore did a good job of making a couple big plays that decided the game. When you haven't had a legitimate loss in three seasons, you're going to have a target on your back. Reporter: Coach, it looked like the start of another rout against the wolverines. What caused the game to restart after the fumble recovery? Coach Brunswick: The NCAA committee is looking into this matter. Riots have been on going downtown Minneapolis as our fans feel cheated after having the lead and recovering a fumble then some how losing connection to Coach Gilmore while he was trying to challenge it. Even though Coach Gilmore has been under strict scrutiny from previous recruiting violations, I fully trust that this was a fluke and that this "mulligan" theory is false. Reporter: Where do you go from here? Coach Brunswick: Well we still have two tough games in Nebraska and Iowa but I look for us bounce back nicely. Our starting running back Ramsey returns next week to give us more offensive power. This wont be the only time we'll see Michigan this season. And let's be honest, a conference champion out of the North?
same thing happened to me with 2 fumbles in the first half??? one on the 1 yard line and 15 yard line... there might be something there...lol
Re: **HROT NCAA 11 Dynasty** Looking for players... quags can you play after bulls game tonight? thanks.
by the way I wish there would be an option to eliminate fumbles for online play next years game. what does everyone think.
Maybe lower the fumble rate, but I don't think we should eliminate them all together. I like to keep it as realistic as possible. The majority of the fumbles I force are from big hits and hitting the strip button. Very rarely do I force a fumble on a regular tackle... I like the risk/reward aspect.
The game looked like it would be another close one, but like all the other games between Illinois and Nebraska, Nebraska would prevail in the end. But that wouldn't be a story book ending for Chief Hawk in his final season as head coach. Illinois got the ball to start off the game where they went 3 and out. Nebraska put together a long lengthy drive scored with 1:09 left in the 1st quarter making it 7-0 in favor of the Huskers. In the 2nd quarter, Illinois answered on a long drive of their own tying the game up at 7-7. Then with 20 seconds left in the half, Nebraska took a 14-7 lead into half, and as they were set to receive the ball after half, this game looked like it was over-with. After a long drive stalled at the 19 yard line, Illinois forced Nebraska to kick a 36 yard field goal making the score 17-7. Illinois ensuing possession saw them going for it on 4th down and being unsuccessful. As Nebraska had the ball in great position to put this game away, Patrick Calhoun fumbled the ball, and new comer Ben Vincent picked the ball up and went racing down the sideline for a 79 yard scoop and score to make the score 17-14 with :56 seconds left in the 3rd quarter. First play of the 4th quarter Illinois intercepts D. Phillips only down by 3 points. 5 plays later, Jones hooks up with McCoy in the end zone to give Illinois the 21-17 lead they were looking for. Nebraska next possession saw some promise being able to move the ball down the field but it eventually stalled with 2:39 left in the game. Illinois gained possession up 21-17 with 2:39 left, Jones and Hughes trotted out on the field with hopes to get at least a field goal and take some time off the clock with this drive. They did one better, after 3 plays, Hughes was walking in the end zone to put the game away 28-17 with 1:34 left. Nebraska turned the ball over on downs with 29 seconds left and Ingram takes one knee to secure the win. 28-17. ____________ Chief Hawk soaking wet after his gatorade bath was asked how it felt to get this win: "Pam, it feels great to finally beat Nebraska, we haven't played each other in a few years, but all of our games have been close, Backinblack is a great friend of mine, we go all the way back to when we both started coaching. Then to have Nebraska be ranked #9 in the country, come into Memorial Stadium and be handed a loss in front of the 42,000 strong. Its a great feeling. Take a look at these players and fans, you don't think they're excited about this win? They all know I am finished with NCAA 11 after this season. I cant imagine a better way to send off this team and town with a great win like this. They will be talking about this for years to come."
Schroeds is online right now... Quagz just popped on. Looks like its on like Donkey Kong who yawns at dawn
I want to start off by saying, great game chief. Your team came out flat but then stormed back to get the win. I figured you woul get 1 win outa 5. Now my feelings on the game are this, FUCK YOU EA SPORTS, and FUCK YOUR GOD DAMN MOTHERS TOO. Like schroeds and Bruns said before these fucking fumbles are straioght bull shit sometimes, here was the play. Nebraska had just stopped Illinois on their own 23 yard line. Calhoun takes the hand off and gets 6 yards, I see 3 guys coming fast so I hit RB to cover the ball ( or so the game manual says). I did this well before I'm hit. What the fuck happens he fumbles the ball and a DLmen returns the ball like 83 or 82 yards for a TD. The best part of it is, my RB who has 91 speed could not run down a DLmen who had 75 speed. The guy had 75 yards to do it and for some reason the game didn't think that I should be able to get him. TWO MAJOR FUCKING Problems here, first off I can say over the 8 or so seasons in this years dynasty I've prolly fumbled 10-12 times when I'm hitting the cover the ball button. HEY FAT ASS'S at EA SPORTS if you arn't going to make a button worth anything don't even FUCKING use it. Second thing, make speed matter on plays like that, I'm sure Marcus coker could have ran down Ballard down in 75 yards even if Ballard had a 8 yard head start. Next thing is FIX THE FUCKING GLITCHES IN next years game. I've told buster this before too, I can't use over half of any playbook out there cause the game will sub in a fucking lb or CB for my QB or my kicker for my RB. So out of 18-20 formations I can only use about 10 of them. So I'm at a disadvantage right there you fucking fatass piece of shit producer BEN Haumlin, go eat another dick. I swear to god that the glitches are causing my defense to be full of mentally retarded kids, they don't know where the ball ever is, In my game against chief, chief would send a dude out to the flats and my guy would just strafe out there like no one is home. Then I run some of the same routes on chief and his defense just sticks to my Wr's like glue. I want to finish with this, Good Game chief and you beat me, but I"m fucking tired of getting ass raped by fucking EA SPORTS and their lazy ass programers who only focus on putting fucking Dreads, or school bands in the game. Hey you nerds who have prolly never played FOOTBALL in realife, why don't you go out and fucking hire some coaches to come in and tell you how the game is played and how players should react. I can't wait for 12 to come out so I can finally take this shitty game and break it in half and shit all over it and send it back to you guys. So good game chief and I'm sad I wont get revenge on your next year. FUCK YOU EA SPORTS
wanna hear something funny? as you were running that play where you fumbled, i was at the computer checking the cubs score. i then started playing as Vincent picked up the fumble
Ahhhh shittttttt. I play lil busta olney next in my first game. Can't wait to ruin your season with a second school. If you're working a late, I can go late Friday.....or tomorrow 8-10. Let me know sexy.
Dynasty Is Advanced -Deadline is Thursday at 10:00pm- Week 10 Illinois at Michigan State Wisconsin at Iowa Michigan at Ohio State Minnesota at Purdue Penn State at Nebraska
So now you are saying you want to play realistic, but you don't think we should sit O$U's players???? I know if I had the first pick I would still pick O$U even if I had to sit Pryor just for the prestige and recruiting factor.
nebraska why would you not take your favorite college team the hawkeyes with the first pick? I did and it worked out pretty well, 4 national titles, 4 conference championships..not too bad
I've always wanted to keep the game play as realistic as possible, but if we make OSU sit their guys out for the first 5 games then are we going to go through for each team and do the same? There are always a bunch of guys who are on the original rosters that aren't on their teams when the season actually starts. I'm sure Iowa will have a couple guys suspended for a game or two just like every year.
That works for me, whoever is suspended when we start the dynasty is suspended in the game. Same with whoever is no longer with the team. I'm not saying we have to do it I'm just throwing Idea's out there to make this more realalistic and more interesting. I had another idea of maybe throwing out Indiana and/or Northwestern and adding Notre Dame and/or Mizzu. Just to keep this thing more interesting and guys in this longer. It always seems the guys that start off with Indiana or Northwestern almost always end up quiting after a few seasons.
I say we keep the rosters the same... fucking with that is just one more thing to mess with and check out for cheaters....
That's what I mean, if we mess with one teams roster we'll have to do it with everyone, then it just becomes a giant pain in the ass. As for getting rid of teams, I'd like to keep everything as it is for at least the first year since it's the first year with the Big Ten actually having a real title game and all of that. Maybe cap it at 10 real users with 5 in each division. I'm thinking next year we'll have... Buster Bruns Chief BiB Schroeds Quags c9 Ranger Strunk That's 9, then maybe allow Kauzy or Hawkiz back, if not I'm sure we'll be able to find someone else pretty easily.
Haha forgot about that little fuck. He was a terrible addition. You want to play our game now or you still want to wait til 8:15?
Illinois becomes bowl eligible for only the 5th time after they destroyed Michigan State 61-13. Illinois went into the 4th quarter up 24-7 and puts up 37 points in the 4th quarter. Terrell Thompson breaks the schools all time record for receiving yards in a game with 338 yards on 8 receptions and 3 touchdowns. 191 YAC. Jeff Brink added 107 yards on 6 catches and 2 touchdowns. Jamal Jones ended the day 18-23 471 yards and 7 Touchdowns to 0 picks. a 350.7 qb rating. the bad part about todays game is Illinois stud running back went down with a strained shoulder. Doctors say he will be out for 4 weeks.
After a lot of smack talk over the last two seasons from Coach Quagmire (and ducking me last year), Coach Gilmorbid pulls out a nail biter, 77-38. Too many forced fumbles was his down fall.
thought i had you when it was 62-30..gosh darn it. I was looking ahead to piss pounding i'm going to give the queers from champaign next week.
Hey guys just checking on the dynasty. Doesn't sound like my Boilermakers are doing worth a shit. Any thoughts on how we will pick teams next season? I do like the idea of having 10 users in the league as well, that way its two less people we will have to try and contact to set up game times.
Dynasty Is Advanced -Deadline is Friday at midnight- Week 10 Ohio State at Illinois Iowa at Nebraska Michigan State at Michigan Minnesota at Wisconsin
We got a problem, I work at 6 tomorrow so I can't play tomorrow. Quagz can you play Saturday afternoon sometime?
Yep, I will assign everyone a number and then plug that into a number randomizer and that will be the draft order.
Let's do something different for the order this year. I don't like the idea of one person having complete control over it. Let's start throwing out some ideas. I think I should have first pick, then everyone else can figure out who they want.
Not sure if your serious or not, but what is a real fair way to do it than. Have a tourny??? I don't know how you would actually pull that off even if everyone uses the same team cause that would take atleast a week to decide the places. I can honestly say that over the 3 years I done this I've never picked higher than 5th so its not like I'm rigging it in my advantage.
It takes like two weeks to get a good roster and sliders. We have always started it about the beginning of august
I'm not saying you rig it because I don't think you do, I just think we should try and figure out a different way of picking teams this year.
I forced 9 fumbles and 4 INTS against MSU in route to a 106-0 win. The good news for them though is they're better than they were with Kauzy.
