alright, we are just waiting for Minnesota and Nebraska to play each other...hopefully that is getting done tonight... if so, i have a huge favor to ask of you guys... I am heading home tomorrow for the weekend and wont be returning till Sunday. I can play my game against Purdue tomorrow before i head home. then i have a bye week before finishing up the season against Arkansas. I don't feel like bringing my xbox home to play 1 game, so i ask that we dont advance past week 14 till Sunday night
*when i say tomorrow i mean Wednesday afternoon. So hopefully i will be able to get to the Arkansas game by i leave wednesday (if this last game gets played soon) the other people will be able to play tonight and can be advanced tomorrow afternoon.
This Week's Schedule Purdue at Illinois Minnesota at Iowa Michigan State at Ohio State Northwestern at Nebraska
Let's try to get this done early so the next week can be finished tomorrow night as well so I can get my game against Arkansas in
brian i can play tonight after umpiring. want to play at 1030 or so? or i can play at same time wednesday night.
Sounds good. I should be on around 10 30...and u better at least let me have TWO possessions in the 2nd half this time....
Illinois offense struggles only managing to put up 31 points as they defeat Purdue Boilermakers 31-14 improving their record to 7-4. Purdue falls to 2-7 making them not bowl eligible for the first time since before Strunk took over
I do have a complaint to make after my game with minnesota. He plain flat out rapped me last night in our game, then he sent me a text saying "I will be over in 5-10 babe" I didn't know I was going to have to take a real life ass rapping also. Next year there will be rules against this Bruns just so you know.
So any chance we can wait till Sunday to advance the dynasty past week 14 (were still on week 12 till tomorrow night)
And I will speak for the rest of the world and say no also. It's your last season so whats the big deal.
Minny takes care of the pesky hawks 31 to 10. Dynasty advanced. We only have two user games this week vs cpu so next advance is tomorrow night at 10 pm. Chief, u trying to hold the dynasty up for your cpu game against Arkansas? If you were vying for a national championship and this wasn't ur last season, I'd be all for waiting for u. However, ur bowl eligible already and I dont give a fuck.
wow, thanks for getting back to me after like 3 or 4 days. It wasnt like i was trying to get any input from you guys or anything the past couple days. but whatever, fuck you guys
It's really not a big deal to me. If you want I'll take control of your team if ur worried about that 8th win.
My town gets hit by a tornado and this is how you repay me? Just kidding, electricity is back now. Glad to see my team pulled it out. I'm playing my game now.
BTW Chief, why are you so worried about playing that game? It's most likely not going to affect which bowl game you go to since it's an OOC game and you've already said it's your last season. 7-5 or 8-4 don't make that much of a difference...
it is my last season, so i would like to get my team 9 wins this season.... something that has only been done maybe once in my NCAA 12 career
Yeah I wont be able to play the conference title game until Sunday anyway. I'm fine with waiting on you.
i will be hopefully getting to okoboji around 330-4... my game should be done by 5 pm. I thank you guys for waiting on me, (if in fact you guys did wait for me)
dynasty is ready to be advanced. Illinois wins 59-40. if this game was simmed, i honestly dont think i win this game...
I say you just give everyone a few hours to get in your week 15 recruiting and then play the championship game tonight and advance to bowl games later tonight.
Dynasty advanced. Not sure if were gonna get all that in tonight Bib, but I like where ur head is at.
Remember me and quagz are not doing recruiting, so just need schroeds, Bruns, peters, Lyman to do their recruiting
Were on to bowl season! Minny defeats the star-studded Michigan team by a field goal after losing to them earlier in the season by a field goal.
Illinois defeats Arizona State by a final score of 48-14 in the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl. Illinois finishes the season with a 9-4 record. After the game, Chief Hawk broke down into tears covered up by his gatorade bath he received. "I love these guys so very much, There isn't anything i wouldnt do for them, it pains me to have to walk away at this point in time. I have other matters in my life to take care of right now. So don't make this about me, make it about the players, they were the ones that went out there and got it done. I am going to go walk into the sunset until NCAA 12, where I end up in that point of time is left to be decided, but i will embrace whatever university I end up in. Until then, Life. Love. Prosper" Chief Hawk ends his NCAA 11 coaching career with a 54-58 overall record. 3-2 in bowl games. 17-16 against rivals. 10-40 against the AP Top 25. Illinois had 5 winning seasons under coach Chief Hawk, but never were able to win the North division title. They came very close one year, Illinois only needed a win against Ohio State in the final game of the Big 12 season to secure the North Division title. Illinois came up a little short in the contest and Michigan backed their way into the North title.
I will have my game in tonight by 9, maybe we can get onto the offseason tonight also. Does anyone have a time this week or so we can all get together and do the offseason.
Michigan wraps up a good season overall going 13-1, finishing #2 in the rankings, and after splitting the season series with the MNC winning Minnesota Golden Gophers with one win a piece (both games ending in a 31-28 tally), a claim to the National Title. Taurean Kent had maybe the greatest season in NCAA history running the ball 229 times for 2412 yards, a 10.5 avg, and 52 touchdowns, with the majority of those yards coming in conference season, including a historical 399 yard 8 touchdown performance against Iowa. He takes home the Maxwell, Walter Camp, Doak Walker, and Heisman trophies. It will be interesting to see if he comes back for his Senior season. Damien Beck, a four year starter at linebacker, brought home the Bendarick award for the second time, as well as the Best LB award for the third straight year. While at Michigan, Beck also set the school record for career receiving touchdowns with 40. He'll go down as one of the greatest and most versatile players in college football history. Other award winners were Drew Jenkins who won the Nagurski award, as well as the Lombardi for the second straight season, and Shane Young brought home the Thorpe. Michigan finished with a plethora of All-Americans yet again as well. With all of that said, Coach Happy Gilmorbid has decided to call it quits. I finish with a 99-25 record overall (25-9 vs Rivals, 47-19 vs the Top 25, 9-0 in bowl games) with 7 division titles, 1 conference title, and 2 National Championships.
so is this last season? without Michigan or Illinois that leaves us with 4 users. if we do finish i think i finished with 112-10 record, 4 conference championships, 3 national titles and I believe a .500 record vs bruns :(
if we do call it quits transfer the commish to me. i just want to see how my team would have looked after this year.
I don't think you can Chief, I tried before and no dice. I think you can take a offline dynasty and turn it into a online though.
