looking back it was silly to have any expectations this year. OC gone, top 3 WR either left or injured(reed), Non-existent running game, Kirk contract, and the OL. it was silly to think we had a chance.
I definatley don't want to give up a shit ton of picks to move up a few spots. I think we are still pretty good in terms of cap space. I'd rather pay Kirk a nice mutually agreed upon contract...not max money. Fuck you bitch you don't get mad money. If you deserved Max money you'd make everyone around you better vs needing more. You don't do that. Hopefully the Skins/Kirk can come to a reasonable contract and we can hopefully keep drafting kinda well
He's either getting a huge deal here or he's getting it somewhere else. It's how the NFL works. He's not going to take anything less than what Carr and Stafford just got. Again, blame the NFL. Some one is going to pay him.
I get it. It'll be interesting to see what teams join the bidding. I'd take Alex Smith for a 3rd and pray a QB makes it to our draft spot
Denver and the Jets appear to be the front runners. I've heard rumors of the Giants if the cut bait with Eli. The Bills and Cardinals are a possibility also.
Giants might get on the bidding post Eli. Arizona maybe But those 3 teams will also have the opportunity to pick one of the top 3 QBs for substantially less. If Kirk had won something of substance in DC I'd be OK maybe
Its really going to be interesting to see where all these teams with a QB stack up at the end of the season and what QBs end up coming out. Could play a huge part in the Kirk Bidding War
I gave up after a quarter Hate Perine so much; he can't catch, he fumbles, doesn't break tackles, is slow, and has terrible vision. He's somehow a lot worse than Matt Jones was.
Team showed a lot of fight with all of the injuries before this week. Interested to keep the staff and let them build the team one more year and see what happens.
I’ve said it a couple times in this thread, but It doesn’t matter who the coach is Don’t matter who the QB is Dan Snyder is the owner. We’ll never be great under that piece of shit Fuck Dan Snyder
Don't think Jay deserves to be fired with the insane amount of injuries plus the hardest schedule in the league but team has quit.
Norman got burned multiple times and didn’t give a shit. It’s sad but I’m a resign Kirk guy cause I’m sick of starting over (and missing). One more year of Jay is fine but one day I want to look at the tv schedule and see a smile on Jays face. I’m tired of that confused ass look on jays face these past few years.
I think the way this season has gone it has become more and more clear that Kirk isn't coming back. The question is: Which of the Vikings three QBs will be a Redskin? The answer is definitely whichever one is worst.
I'm super indifferent if he stays or goes. Wish we could have gotten more than a 3rd round comp pick for him if he goes. I'm sure we'll miss out on the top QBs and trade up for Bradford in the back of the 1st and he'll be terrible
I just looked at the contract situation because I was curious and knew that at least one of them was a FA. Turns out all of Bridgewater, Keenum and Bradford are FAs after this year. I had figured Minnesota would spin one of them for a pick, but looks like they're going to have to make a decision on one of them. With everything they've invested in Bridgewater, it's hard to imagine it won't be him. Signing Keenum or Bradford is right in the Redskins playbook. Keenum is a QB who has been a decent backup but is playing lights out this year with a really talented offense that's making him look better than he is - someone is going to make a Matt Cassel deal for him. As for Bradford, you'd have to think he's run out of chances with his injury history, which means he's a perfect pick for the Skins.
I've seen some Vikings people hope they can resign both Case and Teddy. Not sure what type of deals they both get. Right now we are the 9th pick. 5 teams at 4-9 ahead of us. And we play 3 bad teams to end the season in Cards, Denver, Giants. 4-12 would be fine with me but that seems unlikely.
Whatever we do, it's going to be the wrong move. Sign Kirk to a big money deal, he'll suck and cripple our team for 4-5 more years. Let him walk, he'll sign with Denver/Arizona/NY and win a ton of games. Trade up and take a QB in the draft, they'll bust. Go cheaper and sign a FA QB like Bradford/Teddy, they'll stink and kill our cap. Let it ride with Colt at QB, go 2-14 next year. Those are the options and results. Snyder and Allen are apes in suits posing as an NFL owner and GM. We are destined for failure. Can't wait to watch the Wizards get the 7th seed in the east, Caps to get bounced in the 1st round and the Nats to crap their pants come Oct. rinse repeat This city is going to kill me.
Skins should have traded Cousins to SF before the season and used the pick to get Jimmy. Signed Jimmy at 16/year.
Assuming they tag KC for a 3rd time, which I bet they do, take Saquon Barkley in the first and be down with these bums at RB. screw it
If we tag him isn't it going to be like $37 million? I've seen one mock with him falling to us, most others have him going in the top 10. I think there are some other Solid RB options like Guice or Chubb or Damien Harris
Fuck it. Spend Danny's money and take Barkely and Luke/Faulk or Rudolph in the 3rd/4th and pray they can be pretty good in 2019
I just want the Kirk saga over one way or the other. Give him a huge long term contract or let him go, sick of this saga and all the attention it puts on a slightly above average QB.
Roquan Smith, Josh Jackson, Christian Wilkins, and Maurice Hurst are some guys I like that will go around where we pick. Fix the damn defense. Hopefully extend Scherff and Preston Smith
