Cousins didn’t want to be in Washington and frankly was overpaid for his performance last year and it was only going to get worse. He’s not elite.

You got a QB who has been to the playoffs 5 of the last 6 years he was the full time starter. To me, this is like Carson Palmer to the Cardinals at a similar age. I think Smith is better than Palmer was at that point but the Cardinals won a lot of games the first few years. This has the potential if the players around him are good.

 

Giving up Fuller is complete fucking bullshit. As good as any player we had this year in his 2nd year and gave him up, this is reason #1 I never get too deep into this shitty franchise

 

Might be the last straw for me. Can’t believe they sent Fuller in this deal. I’m guessing this is probably the same deal they were offering Cousins that he wouldn’t sign.

106.7 beat reporter is saying it’s only 40 guaranteed and the team can cut him after year 2 of the deal. The other 30 mil is a roster bonus only if he’s on the team. That’s better but still outraged over Fuller.

Either way they were fucked. Cousins ain't worth like $25M per season. He's a very nice QB, but not a franchise guy. Tough spot to be in.

When you have like 8 good players, get pissed when one of them leaves. Especially when he's on a rookie contract, why not just give them another pick rather than a pick you already nailed.

 

I’ve calmed down and now am excited about the Alex Smith era. Glad Kirk is finally out of here.
