The skins get no comp picks this year. The way it works is if you sign more qualifying udfa players than you lose you get nothing, and the skins did this past year. Can't imagine they'll botch the cousins comp pick that way though Fwiw Jackson, Garçon, baker, would've been good for a 3, 4, and 6
What's everyone thinking about the draft? Seems like we are getting a lot of DB (James FSU or Ohio State guy) Appears we are like 3 picks late for Roquan Smith.
Pre-Free Agency bump. Seems ppl are thinking we might cut Norman. Can save a bunch of money post June 1, but I'm not giving up on him after last year. Also, talk of Cravens being traded. Does he just not want to be in DC so he's not playing? Can't imagine any team really wanting him. We've got like 31mm to spend as it sits now and 7ish on rookies so 24 million or so. Seems like they are looking at a lot of guys coming off rookie deals to fill depth vs making a massive splash. Zach Brown seems like our biggest/only FA on our team we have to resign
I saw that Cravens broncos thing then I saw right after that that they weren't trying to trade him. Has there been more talk? I don't know what the deal with any of that stuff is. It doesn't seem like he really wants to play football so it's hard to see getting much value in a trade. 2nd rounder seems absurd
If someone is willing to give up a 2nd rounder for Cravens then you take that and don’t think twice. We have to go after a WR in FA as I don’t see them going that route in the draft. Need to be able to move Crowder back to the slot.
I've seen some Cravens for Martavis Bryant talk. I know the Steelers are kinda up and down on him, but he's at least productive vs someone who doesn't want to play football
Surprised he is allowed to still play with all his head injuries. I'd take Paul back for the vet minimum, but no chance he's worth the 2mm we paid him the last 3 years.
Norman isn't worth his contract but I'd rather keep him a year than give Breeland a huge contract and can't replace your top 3 corners. Please don't pay Zak Brown, he's a 2 down linebacker when you can get a 3 down linebacker in the 3rd/4th round.
Paul Richardson to DC for 8mm per for 5 years. I'd assume his 2018 ni.ber is below 8mm. Not a bad first break into FA
I don't know much about Richardson but everything I've read the past few days seem to indicate this is a good signing at a reasonable price given the market and it's a huge position of need.
He flashed at times last year. Seattle was awful passing, so might be a good sign. He's a deep threat. I like it. He's also young, which is good and we really needs a second WR for Crowder
"Kurt" gets 86 million fully guaranteed. As much as he said it wasn't about the money, it seems like it was about the money.
That's really dumb by Ozzie Not sure our WR signing was great but Grant is incredibly average and can't stretch the field.
Chase Roullier taking over. Can we get comp picks? The market for MLBs frightens me with Zack Brown still out there. Bht I yuess most expect him to move on and he didn't lineout mid season contract extension.
Trent Murphy to the Bills. Are we even trying to re-sign guys? This feels like a tank which I'm fine with but why the Alex Smith/Fuller deal?
Yeah, I'd rather just sink the ship at this point. We need a reset. We're not winning anytime soon with this roster.
Let’s be honest, are we really upset over losing Spencer Long, Trent Murphy, and Ryan Grant? Murphy was on roids and then couldn’t stay healthy. Grant was our 4th receiver and now getting 8M a year. I wouldn’t have resigned any of the guys that are leaving for the contracts they’ve gotten. Edit: except breeland. Would’ve resigned him but he’s a headcase so may not be terrible to let him walk
Definitely need to sign a corner after losing him and trading Fuller. I know they’re big on Fabian Moreau but he’s young. Could use another vet this year. Betting it’s gonna end up being DRC.
Liked Paul bc he's a warrior but Im surprised his brain still works. His concussions worry me Fuck Pryor. He got his 1 yr prove it deal and proved his hands are dicks
Breeland is our worse loss right now, especially with our stupid fucking trade. I'm indifferent on losing Trent. He was alright and always moved up/down weight when we needed him....but hurt a lot and roided out. Not worth 7mm. When we don't resign Brown bc the LB market seems stupid, we are going to be missing a lot of good pieces on defense. That adds to having nothing but shit a S too. Fuck Cravens.
So draft talk. DT (Vita/Payne) Or Derwin We have drastic needs at both spots. I'm a huge fan of Vita. He can do everything at DT. Bama injuries are real and always scare the shit out of me. Derwin seems like he can help in so many spots in our secondary.
I'm pulling for Derwin. If he falls to us then I think that has to be the pick. If he doesn't then probably Vita.
