I use Wayne's Environmental but I think they are a little overpriced. A friend of mine found a good deal when he bought his house recently. I'll check with him
Is it just for termites? I have a couple friends that are techs at Cooks. I'll ask them if the inspection and letter is something they can do on the side without going through the office.
colonel_forbin my buddy told me that's not something they can do on the side. Something about insurance and all that. He did think if you called enough places you'd find one that will do it without a contract. Not really apples to apples, but the VA won't let the buyer pay for the termite inspection so I'm sure there are companies that do it for just a one time fee. No way my seller paid signed a contract for service on the house.
Wait, sovereign immunity is actually a thing? Is this common place? http://www.al.com/opinion/index.ssf...king_gov_robert_be.html#incart_river_home_pop
I didn't make it past the first paragraph of that article. Yes sovereign immunity is a very real, and not at all unusual, thing. With very limited exception, the State cannot be made a defendant in any lawsuit.
It can. There is probably a pending motion to dismiss based on immunity (and likely a number of other issues). I assume they are taking the position that they are not subject to discovery until a judge rules on the motion to dismiss.
http://www.al.com/news/huntsville/i...r_parole_hearing_set_f.html#incart_river_home A Huntsville man who killed his parents and critically injured three of his siblings as a teenager in 1998 will go before the parole board next month. A Sept. 20 parole hearing has been set for Jeffrey Brendan Franklin, according to the Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles. Franklin, now 36, has served 15 years on the life sentence he was given after his conviction in 2001 .Franklin was 17 on March 10, 1998, when he bludgeoned to death his parents, Gerald and Cynthia Franklin, inside the family's home on Camelot Drive in southeast Huntsville. The teen, who was a student at Grissom High School, also tried to kill three of his four younger siblings; a younger sister was not home at the time of the attack.
Bob Jones' Brad Anderson is the first player in AHSAA history with two 99-yard runs in the same game. 17 carries 310 yards 3TD 18.2ypc
Anybody happen to be outside at about 7 45 tonight? There were some interesting lights above the southeastern portion of the arsenal. It looked like 5-6 orange orbs that were flickering a little and hovering in a circular motion for a minute. I turned at a light and lost sight of them, but they were gone the next time I had a view of the same area.
Was driving over Cecil Ashburn at this time & noticed something out of the corner of my eye a couple times but didn't think much about it. Traffic was shitty so I couldn't turn my head to check it out, but I definitely saw something
Oh, by the way... this is exactly what I saw. Go to the 1:52 minute mark. It's a video from 2013 and it's in Huntsville, so I assume this is just something from the arsenal.
definitely go check mountain brook out. undefeated and nationally ranked, they absolutely throttled a previously undefeated Austin team last night. not the most fun brand of basketball to watch but Watford is a star and there is something to be said for the way they play full-court defense.
VBC. Championship game starts at 7. Tickets get you in for the 2 consolation games starting at 3:30. May sell out so you may want to check ticketmaster asap. Gen admission are $6. Good seats are $15
Watched MB the first 2 rounds. It's definitely a crazy pace. Will be interesting to see how Jemison handles the press. Jemison is a better team than Austin.
Being kinda facetious, but allegedly DDT got dumped in Triana way back when, people down there got checks from the company. Several folks I went to Bob Jones who lived south of 565 with got checks for five figures once they turned 18. In hs, we used to go to a place to drink and called it the "Pond". It was way down near the river on the road which divided the arsenal and Triana, Gulch, Gooch?. Always heard the water was polluted and bad. Also, west Triana likely into Limestone county and near Wheeler, we used to go to the caves there.
So apparently the HG girls team is pretty good this year. Seems like they always are but the boys are almost always just average. You seen them play any Phil Connors ?
I haven't but they are 21-0. Only giving up 29 ppg. The boys team is good as well. Got a really good soph guard, Kira Lewis.
Cool. My pops is going to the games Thursday I guess. Is Lewis D1 talent? I can't remember the last one from HG that went D1.. there was that kid that went to Vandy.
We had a couple guys go to Lipscomb or equivalent when I was there and then that Neegan kid that went to Vandy and that may be it on the boys side. I don't recall a football player from there going D1. No idea about girls but it seems like their teams were always good.
So i found HG's historical football records.. L o fucking lol. This kid was a year behind me.. and is now serving 20 years to life for being a pedo ( think he's twin brother was arrested as well).
Found this statement from the father to be fucked up. "He could easily be considered a hero for his actions in Afghanistan," said his father Bruce Lucas, adding that the stress of combat prompted his actions. "His crimes are a result of an illness."
I played against Keegan. He was good but Hazel Green wasn't because of Keegan. He'd get 25 points a game but he'd shoot 40 times because his dad was the coach and he had no fear of getting benched.
A winter storm warning remains in effect for most of Central, and parts of Southwest Alabama, through early tomorrow morning. Rain, freezing rain, and sleet is falling generally along and south of I-20, with only light snow flurries to the north, where a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect. A nose of warm air aloft, about 5,000 feet off the ground, is keeping much of the precipitation liquid for now. That warm air aloft will erode tonight as cold air deepens, and precipitation will turn to all snow and sleet this evening. Heaviest accumulation will be in the Winter Storm Warning area. TRAVEL: We do NOT recommend travel across North or Central Alabama this afternoon and tonight. Road continues will only deteriorate. While the snow and sleet will end during the pre-dawn hours tomorrow, temperatures will remain below freezing through the day, so hazardous driving conditions will continue at least through the morning hours. Possibly through the entire day where the heavier precipitation falls.
What Phil said. When they tear down the mall I guess? Supposedly Dec 2017, Jan 2018 opening. That seems pretty quick considering the mall is still standing. Can't believe Huntsville will be getting one only 6 months after Nasvhille's opens.
