So how’d you do it?
I'm oddly intrigued by many things in this story
Reading the link had me interested, reading the article only lead me to have more questions.
Don't think the answers would be satisfying. Really dumb people that use drugs usually don't make sense.
Good point, I'm no longer intrigued.
Anyone have any recommendations for a contractor on a house remodel?
Phil Connors please change thread title to "Huntsville - Home to Space Force" or some variant. TIA
It must be a good time to be a homebuilder in Madison County.
good day to be in madison county anything
Parents house in under contract in 5 points, unreal real estate market.
I do construction lending. I have over 20 loans under construction & working on starting 15 more.
Busiest I’ve ever seen it & COVID is slowing the whole process down. Takes fucking forever to get loans closed.
Anyone looking for a Corp/Investment banker with 10 years of experience? I gotta get the hell out of New York and miss the homeland.
A commercial property broker told me he can't find enough warehouse space in this town to accommodate the raw building materials coming in.
Let's buy land and start building warehouses, guys.
Well, except maybe a Mo Brooks fan.
But seriously who do I need to bribe for a contract so I can open a Chick-fil-A on the Arsenal?
glad my dad moved to Huntsville when he did. That house is gonna pay for my retirement whenever he kicks the bucket.
Add a krispy kreme next to it and whew boy, got a new one stop.
My neck of the woods. Just sold a house and bought another one in the area. Market is stupid right now.
There aren’t currently plans for a service academy but that would be pretty incredible.
I’m slightly less than an hour west and my real estate agent (friend since elementary) texted me and said he doesn’t know what I paid per square foot in 2019 but he’ll guarantee $10-$15 per square foot even if the dogs and kids have torn it up.
We can’t find qualified labor at $35 an hour because bigger names are offering more money for less experience. We can’t afford to pay more. It’s an exciting time and it feels like a bubble except it’s all blue chips investing the money in this area.
The lady who bought the lot across the street from me told the builder “I want there to be no question which house is the most expensive in this neighborhood, any other questions my architect can handle.” I’m the only person within a six or more house radius that is not from California, Colorado, or New England. A lot of them are on the clock to reinvest money from the sale of a house there to not pay cap gains.
I get tons of call from people from all over the country asking about land loans in HSV.
I live on the road I grew up on. The house I grew up in and six other houses are all owned and rented out by someone hiding/shuffling money from sales of property in California. The kinda person who buys, super updates them, all energy efficient everything, solar panel stuff. They clearly know the tax game well. They’re all on or near the Tennessee river so I know they have to be ballers.
Space Command, not Space Force. Fix your thread title.
Course to course
My brother in law is a contractor in the Huntsville area. To say he has done well in the last 20 years is way understating it. I might be envious if he wasn't a decent and humble guy about his circumstances. He knows he got lucky with the growth around the area as he got started, but this is like winning the lottery.
Rarely am I jealous of not being an investor in clients’ deals, but the tax-incentivized storage facility in Huntsville that I reviewed a few months ago is one of those times. Thing is going to print money, and I suspect most things of that nature will in Huntsville.
Congrats Huntsville, Alabamians......for now!!!!
Some are apparently not giving up and think this decision has Trump's grubby little hands all over it. Anyway, will be interesting to see what happens when the new administration gets in there.
