Well looks like I might need to put this mailer to use... oh if you’re looking for a place to watch Bama hoops go to the thirsty turtle. Rippin cigs is allowed in there and they have a delicious burger, curley fries, along with tallest, coldest, and cheapest beer in town.
Can I be in here even though I’m not a Bama fan? The transplants help me feel better on a day2day basis, but there’s a lot of A’s in y’all’s fan-of’s.
I spent my first night in jail due to strip mall bar. that’s finally changing though. More stuff downtown, now that I don’t go out anymore.
my company is building a big apartment complex in Huntsville. hoping to go see it when it’s finished.
If you'd like to see a grown man crying and wishing for death, come find me at the Big Ol Ballpark Fair this afternoon.
They haven’t had an act I’ve cared too much for, but buddy of mine went to DMB Wednesday. Said it was great but the bench seating was a bit tight.
Y’all start going to Famous Eleanor’s next to Furniture Factory. It’s basically fancy bar food for Rocket Republic, but they also have wine and spirits now if you don’t want RR’s beers. My buddy is the chef there and they plan on installing lots of TVs in the outside area in preparation for football season. That said, the Standard is really good too.
We went to The Standard for lunch on Saturday and sat at a table that hadn't been cleaned off yet. Just swiped it thinking they'd clean it off real quick and we'd be good. A waiter then walks up and asks whether we were on the waitlist. I said no, and he said we needed to put our names on the list and wait for a table. So we got up and he took our name, and then we stood next to the bar to wait for our name to be called. The same waiter then immediately walks over to the same fucking table, cleans it off, and comes back to us and tells us our table is ready.
I just went to yellowhammer because it’s close. Had no idea there was a HSV thread on this board, need to read up considering I now have to come here quarterly.
I’m a fan. It’s more traditional Mexican fare than the typical chicken, rice, and white cheese dip spot. It’s a little pricey and you will probably hear people complain about paying that much for “Mexican” which is dumb. I’ve never had a bad meal there. Drinks are great too. It’s going in City Harbor, right? I’ll be interested to see how it does in that location.
Yeah, going in at City Harbor. I think it will do really well there. Big Mikes is pretty good and it will be their biggest competition. The only other places there are The Wake (burgers and wraps), The Brewers Co-Op (food is underwhelming) and Another Broken Egg which is just breakfast and brunch. City Harbor stays covered up from sun up to sun down so I think it will be a good spot for them.
That was the play. Great atmosphere in there last night, loved seeing all the families because I’m a big bring my kids to breweries guy.
