Outside of that 8 minute Nebrasketball scoring drought, that was an excellent played game (defense was good during that, otherwise it could have really went the other way). I’m convinced Roby has nudes of 2/3 of the league officials. JPJ’s legs appear to be tired but his passing was excellent tonight, Glen’s 5 minute stretch won us that game, Allen was sneaky good too. Its been that way a long time. All NCAA tourney games are with the same ball though. Because the NCAA makes money off that contract of course.
I'm sure it's like the NCAA and they have a contract with a certain ball company. Again, so the B1G gets the check....but at least that would be split amongst schools unlike NCAA tourney.
Spalding had the best basketballs when I was coming up (the NBA uses them). Not sure Adidas was really in the basketball market at that point. You could recognize if a school was for poors if they were using some shitty brand like Rawlings. I never liked Nike's basketballs either. Wilson's high end basketballs were always my favorite, worth an extra point or two a game just from how soft they bounced on the rim and they had great grip. This passionately hot take that you didn't realize anyone could possibly have brought to you by the husk thread.

They're really good from my experience now but that first year the NSAA made them mandatory it was a fucking shit show. Half of them were egg-shaped and all around trash. Makes me wonder how many more 3's Jalen Bradley for Norfolk and Trey Bardsley for Beatrice would've made if the basketball was actually round.
