    My statement had nothing to do with the game this weekend. Just a general observation about morale.

    although I will say I think we were brutally unlucky in close games last season, and we’re closer to that team than the records would indicate probably.

    Thoughts on Martinez running this year? Seems like you switched things up against Illinois and made it a focus.

    Martinez caused problems for us last year. We’ve been much better on defense this year, but this is the first offense we faced that has some balance to it.

    The reason I ask is that we have given up some QB runs this year. No one has run on us effectively, but a QB run has been the longest rush play from scrimmage in three of our four games.
