I guess slamming the basketball IS a technical foul? Nebraska lost a game this year because they didn't call it as such
In conference officiating is always so much worse than out of conference. Not really any complaints from the crown games. No insane variance from half to half. Let them play a good bit. No bang jobs against historically better programs or home teams. It shouldn’t be that hard.
Agreed and 2 of the dudes last night work a ton of B1G games. The problem is in the B1G office and how they want their games played.
They used to have “Host Coffee” at a job I worked at just out of college in Omaha. That shit was straight garbage. I’m not a coffee snob either, fine with black coffee or whatever. It was terrible though. They paid like thousands of dollars to have it supplied there as well which was baffling. They sponsor 1620 the Zone as well and I think about this anytime it’s mentioned on there. /rant
Was telling a guy at work that in hindsight it sucks even more he left. He could have helped at least a little this season, then just to come back a year later. Maybe there was a reason he needed to be closer to home or something and why they were OK with him returning but still weird.
Was also joking that maybe this is the new “minor leagues”. You send a dude down to mid major for a year then call him back up lol
You just can’t tell me he wouldn’t have been better than Rollie or Uhlis we must’ve really whiffed on some PG we thought was in the bag
good depth but I’m afraid his stock is being very overpriced based on a few somewhat meaningless games
Get this kid a sandwich and maybe he can be a better shooting Juwan (that's wishcasting but we won the Crown baby, let's go)
Raiding high performing players from lower conference teams is a legit strategy and idk who this dude is but it's kind of the best move Nebraska has. I don't get the hate for it.
They were and they were shockingly good in a typically salty Summit leage. Got the 2 seed and lost to Omaha by 10, some respectable showings against Power teams too. I think like Bo Pelinis said that we're well served by raiding mid-majors (as gross as that is, thanks portal era) of their dudes.
Yeah I actually think this dude will be solid, last week Emmett Johnson tweeted about him being in the portal so I checked his highlights. So far the only questionable transfer in the dude from Air Force just given minimal statistics everyone else seems like they are alright.
IMO mid majors are basically the new JUCO, especially for basketball where there’s like 150 of these teams. A guy who puts up solid numbers in mid majors (and hopefully has some film vs P4) is probably more likely to pan out than whatever random HS kids were getting to come here.
