Pretty good end to the half there but we tend to open the 2nd with an 8 minute scoring drought so I’ll reserve my excitement for now.
Keita and Walker aren’t Shaq by any means but let them battle. We don’t need to quadruple team the dude every time a pass enters the paint. Shit drives me nuts.
Obviously this isn’t 100% due to the coach himself but I just looked up the UCONN RBs and they have the following stat lines. 124 rushes 560 yards 4.5 avg 9TD 79 rushes 538 yards 6.8 avg 3TD 65 rushes 405 yards 6.2 avg 1TD 71 rushes 371 yards 5.2 avg 2TD Would be cool to average 4.5+ yards a carry again.
This Kelly Pfiefer fuck and that bald dude both are a joke. Think they almost averaged a foul per minute in the first half.
If Nebrasketball is ever worth a shit I’m going to be at least as happy as if football got competitive again. Would be a much bigger payoff after years of awful.
My kid is old enough to give a shit about Nebrasketball so I bought 5 tickets for 6 games for him. Cheap as balls and he’s pumped. A night like tonight gives me a little hope that they’ll be at least more competitive in some of the games.
Riley’s departure was pretty average, just firing a coach who didn’t win enough. But boy howdy have the other three most recent coaches just gone down in utter flames. “Eichorst is a cunt” Booze-fueled personal and professional catastrophe Trying to get 2 mil, gets a strangulation felony instead Good luck Corch Rhule
Definitely see some improvement in the hoops team. I really like Fred and think he can work here, so hoping they can continue to show positive progress.
good god, do not do this to yourself. They’ve beat 2 terrible basketball teams. BC lost to Maine and got blown out by Tarleton State. Hoiberg is the worst basketball coach in program history.
It's better than the last few years of losing to two terrible basketball teams. That's progress. I said I *hope* they continue to show progress. End of the day is still W/L record.
I really want Hoiberg to work. If we can't win with him, I worry we'll never be good. with NIL, can we now just pay a few elite players 1 mil/year? I'd pitch in $50 to get us there.
This team has more length than the others. Don’t know how that will translate to success in the B1G but they’re doing a much better job rebounding than Fred’s teams have in the past against shitty teams.
When it comes to basketball I feel like you have to just treat it like normal KU football or something. Enjoy any win you can, hope for the best, expect the worst. Or just don’t care/pay attention at all.
That sucks but not necessarily surprising. I hope this just means that wants Rhule to re-recruit him since the staff he committed to is gone. That’s a totally understandable approach from an athlete.
Not sure how good of a football player he is but he’s another elite athlete that Nebraska doesn’t usually produce. Need to get him back on board.
For those that aren't aware Malachi Coleman has run a 10.46 electronic 100 and a 21.31 electronic 200. Jaylen Lloyd has run a 10.43 electronic 100 and a 21.32 200. Lloyd has jumped 25-5 in the LJ and 50-6 in the TJ. They both fit exactly the type of dude Rhule talked about in his PC.
Once again I’ll reiterate we aren’t in “Batten down the hatches” mode in preparation for a B1G run next year. we prob go 4-8 again next year. But it’s to lay a foundation with new coaches and players… not the shit we saw this season
