I don’t care. We looked improved. When we run an up pace offense where we really push the ball we look good. In the scoring droughts we have, we’re running our shitty set offense.

So far in the Hoiberg era any team that can slow us down and grind the tempo it’s been a chore to get a win. This doesn’t help our ability to push the pace. Getting a board and running rarely happens because we get out boarded so bad at times.
If you don’t stop anyone, what’s the point? He closes out like all shooters are lefties. Which makes it easy for all the right handed shooters. Typically lefties are right in your shooting pocket. he also hasn’t been shooting well.

Oh I'm with you. It's just textbook basketball coach to play the guy who always nails the defensive rotations even if they still get beat anyway. Like every coach at every level has one of those guys.
IMO they should let McGowens create/slash to the hoop more because he actually gets to the rim or at least gets fouled. They finally allowed that to happen more tonight and he kept us in the game. It’d be nice if Banton could be just a little bit more of a scoring threat too.
McGowens should be pushing in transition way more than he does. That should be the first thing we look for on every rebound
Agree for sure. I like Teddy, but sometimes when he’s not on fire him getting the ball so early in the possession kind of throws everything off it seems. Even if he’s just the guy taking the ball up court, he’s kind of slow and doesn’t seem to have the best vision.
Banton is too passive when he drives IMO. Almost like he doesn’t know the objective of the game is to put the ball in the hole
