I forget the exact moment but it was before the drought (maybe around 11 minutes left) and the announcers commended us for only having 6 turnovers, 3 of which began the game. We had 10 more after that. So that contributed.
Sadly there’s been multiple games this year where I think “wow we haven’t scored in 8-10 minutes and are only down by 6”
I got back from some event down town and rushed to turn on the game. We were up 7. We instantly lost the lead and j told my wife to go outside (bc I’m obviously not the reason ). We won. She is now stuck outside for the rest of the games. And we won today. That’s fun.
Why did they call him Co-burn? Midwest censorship thing? good looking girl w that same last name goes by Cockburn. Remind me tomorrow for pics and Ill add bc there’s a chance I’ll get shit for not posting them right now.
I’d guess that’s just how his name is pronounced. He’s from Jamaica so I don’t know what the Midwest has to do with anything.
Sipple writing shit columns about Hoiberg while cupping Frost balls pisses me off to no end. LJS has a good writer in Parker Gabriel. Get rid of Sipple.
I forgot I don't have facebook. Here's a pic from her FB that is public and then one of her fishing with us (guy is not me). Spoiler: 2 pics View attachment 116898
What I meant was, were the announcers not trying to say Cock? Like maybe in media wrote his name as Co__Burn bc they're a prude and the guys just rolled with it? I googled and someone on Reddit asked this quesiton too. Not sure they answered it though. You pronounce Cockburn Town in Turks and Caicos co-burn.
FB pics were amazing, but I don't have a FB. Had to post a shitty profile pic (just changed it). Then looked on my phone to see if I had any and found one from us fishing a couple years ago. Sorry for letting the team down.
I don’t know but I am always extra conscientious holding my coffee mug for a few days after seeing his name in writing.
His last name is pronounced Co-Burn. So I guess I was confused why you’re asking why the announcers said his name correctly.
LES said 30-60 increments, but didn’t mention how long the blackouts will go. House is about to get real cold
Does our “region” include Texas or some of these states that are experiencing freezing temps for the first time in forever? I assume that added strain isn’t helping matters.
Texas is on its own grid. We share one with surrounding states. KC has already been doing rolling blackouts.
It looks like most of Oklahoma and parts of Texas are included Southern Power Pool. It’s the southern states increasing demand that’s stressing power supply. I’m not sure how each local utility makes the decision to enact rolling blackouts, but it does seem quite variable.
I read from a guy on OPPD’s Twitter that some other power plant went down which resulted in our blackouts.
