I think I also underestimated how good Krause can be when healthy. If you look at girls who couldn’t even sniff the floor last year due to our talent (Mendelson, Jurevicius, Kubik), they all transferred to major programs and are instantly starting and thriving.
Controversial but brave take incoming: There is no sound rationale for pronouncing "Mazzcua" as "Mazooka." That's not how letters work.
I like them. It's a nice counterbalace to the vertical game. They keyed on it, but that doesn't mean it's a bad play. And plenty of Husk fans apparently think that not breaking 3 tackles means he sucks.
Will Compton’s dumbass being a huge part of the tunnel walk video yesterday was disappointing but not surprising I guess
The Coleman stuff is interesting. Basically every single uninjured scholarship player got on the field Saturday besides him. Dude is buried on the depth chart and no rumors of him being a problem child. The WR core is legit and he’s a bad route runner.
Maybe they could get him a redshirt and some polish this year that he couldn’t last year? If he’s up to the delay
It’s been forever since the stadiums had a chance to be loud and sometimes it seems like the people in charge are trying to make it as quiet as possible. I’ll be interested if there’s anything different for the Colorado game (doubtful)
In the 13 games coaching at Nebraska Tony Whites defense has not allowed a team to average 6 yards a play. it happened 13 times under Riley and 17 times under Farts
Where does this one rank in the last 10 years as far as fan excitement for a home game? Seems like this one is going to be really big.
Probably at the top. Lately because we’ve sucked there haven’t been too many big games at home (or in general). They only feel big because were playing a Top10 team or blue blood, but in reality we had zero chance to win so the hype was gone before halftime most of the time. This game is against a legit rival, not a forced B10 one. They have multiple guys that will be easy to hate. And for the most part it’s an even matchup so there’s actually belief from the fanbase we can win the game.
IMO it’s bigger because of the history of the CU rivalry and the fact a win would actually feel like we’ve taken a tangible step forward.
I wasn’t at the Miami game or 2016 Oregon but 2009 OU and 2012 Wisconsin are the loudest games I’ve been to at Memorial. Wouldn’t be surprised if Saturday was something like those.
92 CU 94 CU 08 CU Three of the loudest games I’ve ever been to at Memorial. Hasn’t been much to cheer about lately obviously, but NU vs. CU/Deion under the lights is going to wake the sleeping giant.
The team just has to do their part to keep the fans in it and it will be crazy. Just don’t give up a TD in the first 90 seconds or something we’d typically do.
If we mimic Saturday with getting the ball and a 5 minute td drive that first possession on defense will be deafening
I’m sure it’s the most hype since “Red Out Around the World”. Obviously we got creampied from the start in that so the energy wasn’t there.
