I saw a bowl projection with Nebraska vs #Kansas State Wildcats in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl. Guys, I’ve read their QB sucks.
Fourth year in a row betting the under and feeling like I’m stealing. Poor bastards don’t even realize they are being robbed.
Because they aren’t. 99% of Husk fans spending whatever random “stimulus check” they’re welfare hating asses just got on the Husk OVER. Vegas knows how fucking stupid this fan base is.
I stand with Jacob. Frost isn’t the problem, Martinez was. We’re gonna do some stuff this year! ! ! Spoiler: Spoiler I’m scared because I don’t know if this is satire
I mean, we were terrible with and without Martinez, but he is so bad in any meaningful situation. Anti-clutch.
This is it here. Is Thompson better than AM? Probably. But he's a UT castoff who's average on a good day. I mean this with no hyperbole. Buttgers has a better roster than we do.
It's a wash. This is a roster of unheralded recruits and D1 castoffs. For the first tim ever, I look at this team and could not tell you one single player that I think should be on any pre-season all-conference team.
I honestly think our talent is better than what we show on the field. Plenty of reasons why that happens that I don't feel the need to rehash. We still went 3-9 regardless so fuck us.
That's fair. And maybe my thoughts about last year's roster influence my feelings about the current group. You're right though, there isn't anyone I could automatically point to and say "he's getting drafted next year." If there's anything intriguing about the season, beyond what happens with our coaching staff/record, is that a lot of these guys are relatively unknown and untested for the most part. I'm not optimistic that we'll see anything different than recent seasons.
I would make a joke about Sweet Dee packing him a sandwich to take to the game but doesn’t she have really bad dementia or something?
I really wished it had worked for the old bat, but he just couldn’t tell the ginger AD to go fuck himself.
Yeah I think it was more of a “rumor” when he was here, but they showed a thing week one of the USFL season and he was telling his team how she will be around practice because she has to be around him pretty much all the time. Didn’t specify what the actual issue is.
4 years from now on some 300 subscriber forum: “I’m 6’2 but can get to 6’3 almost 6’4 after a chiropractor appointment and an hour on my teeter hangups! For those asking.”
So we definitely missed on Kade McIntyre? Just watched his film, if he’s a legit 6’4, what are we doing?
OT but has anyone played or heard anything about the condition of Bayside out at Lake Mac this year? Dismal River had bad winter kill but I'm not sure if it was a statewide occurrence.
Heard it's in really good shape. Not sure what type of grass they have but Dismal and Awarii in Kearney are supposedly both bent grass and it's notorious for winter kill, especially when it's not taken care of. Awarii is a trainwreck.
Bayside isn’t the best course in Nebraska (and probably not top 10) but it’s an insanely fun course and one of my all-time favorites to play scramble golf on. So many boom or bust holes.
back 9 at Bayside seriously might be one of the favorite 9s I've ever played we played there last year, want some variety on our annual friends trip. if it were up to me...yes.
The back 9 has 2-3 of the best holes I’ve played, period. Number 11, the par 5, is as good of a par 5 as I’ve played. Risk/reward. Wide fairway that completely changes how you approach hole depending on being in left or right fairway. Just an absolutely perfect hole with a view and gorges that just scream awesome. Need to get to Prairie now that I’m back in Nebraska. Have several people I know that loved everything about it. Kind of insane that the two states I’ve lived in have the best modern courses in the fucking world, not even hyperbole. (Oregon with Bandon and the courses around Bend, Nebraska mostly in Sand Hills but now with several back East) About to have Landmand (which will probably win best new course of the year) after CapRock just won last year. Lost Rail probably wins if Landmand doesn’t. only part that fucking sucks is so many are private as fuck.
It’s my ninth Father’s Day and I’m enraged because my newspaper hasn’t arrived yet. I’ve been reading this Twitter thing about the most Dad thing you’ve done in the last year. Pert good thread. Most recent thing for me was counting how many wheelbarrows of mulch I’d toted up the stairs into the front and back yard by Corn numbers. Larry Phillips Adrian Martinez Tay Tay Larry Asante Marlon Lucky Major Culbert Eric Crouch Ameer Steve Taylor Roy Matt Turman Bobby Newcombe Zac Taylor Gerry Gdowski Phil Dill Starting Will Etc Anyhow I loaded Calvin Jones wheelbarrows
For me it's either outlining the tools on my pegboard or the self-satisfied nod I gave after outlining the tools on my pegboard
