Its just another stupid thing fans/boosters think makes the program better than it is. Sure it’s good to have a solid game day experience for recruits, but our fans act like we are the only stadium that has fans in it. Like a lot of things with our fans it’s either 0-100. Recruits can go to a 90% filled Michigan or PSU and have a similar experience in terms of the fans at the game.

I love how over the past few weeks Frost went from denying rumors Martinez was hurt with that weird polio quote, then said he’s going through a lot. Now this week he says “maybe one day I’ll talk about what he’s going through” and also made it sound like we knew we’d be limited with option/QB run vs Minnesota (saw a rumor he sprained his ankle midweek last week). So gets mad about rumors that appear to be valid, plays a hurt QB that makes us take away the one positive wrinkle the O had going, can’t recruit/develop or at least allow himself to play a backup QB so we have to stick with a potentially injured starter who’s won like 7 games in 4 years.
Don’t blame him one bit if he doesn’t come here. Any legacy or instate kid should look elsewhere until Scott is fired

My friend who went to Georgia was over to watch the GA game and then Nebraska game a couple weeks ago. He thought our stadium experience looked great and was impressed by the sell out streak. That was the first time in my life I've ever heard anyone actually be impressed or care about it.

After the Michigan game someone on here said it looked like he had wiring on his jaw, guys on 1620 mentioned it too, so I still think there was something to that. Definitely think he sprained/tweaked an ankle last week though. There was a picture floating around Twitter where he had his one ankle taped, he was wearing normal clothes and sandals (was some picture with a fan), then at the presser this week Frost mentioned how they weren’t able to use QB run and option vs Minnesota.

For what it’s worth, I think the fan support at Nebraska is very cool, especially given what’s happened on and off the field.

That’s outstanding. Let me throw in a shot out to Husker Vision who sometimes takes shots lately because they have to come up with unique ideas for a shit program (the football team) but is absolutely the standard (or has filtered the standards who run departments all over the country) in college Athletics. It’s a fast paced environment, but there is a reason a lot of that stuff originates in Lincoln. It’s pretty fucking sad the program hasn’t done a better job of capturing this ability. (The light show for example, you suck so you can’t showcase that capability for several years) Nebraska started a lot of that revelation & I tell you it would have been awesome to see with a program that didn’t start slipping not long after they did.
The video team is maybe the only positive aspect of the football program the last few years. It seemed to take a hit when the OGs went to Texas A&M, but then with the Riley era there was a real effort to make better videos for social media and recruiting. I think it’s gotten even better the last few years, there’s just not much you can do when the team isn’t winning. The game day experience is still meh, and probably always will be until they stop catering to the over 65 crowd.
The other dumbass part of this was ‘he is too small.’ Which is asinine when you think about some of the best players in the nfl and ‘their size’ and the compliments around them. - KC and Tyreek - Carolina with McCaffrey - NO with Kamara - Packers with Aaron Jones - Seattle with Tyler Lockett Arizona has a QB that is my height 5’10.5 on a good day and has one of the best teams in the league. Talent is talent and when you combine it with Austin fucking Allen and Betts and Omar and Oliver you are absolutely ok with having one of the most explosive players in *checks notes* not the god-damn NFL.
It’s a part of the excuse package that has constantly come out. It’s why you are hearing ‘changes’ during a bye week with practice. You got some talent (the ones you could hold onto) and you didn’t change the structure and blamed the players instead of looking in the mirror. Nobody to blame for this shit outside the staff.
