Favorite piece from this article is by Travis from Auburn... "OU’s stuck with a Guilty White Liberal head coach, more interested in making virtue signaling, social justice gestures. You got NU there too, enjoy that. See you in Norman; the Huskers will be there with our new AD, not the “retired” one who tried to duck OU.”
Any word if our players are receiving endorsements from the likes of Taco Inn and Weird Wally's Used Cars?
Ah yes, this is why Illinois boatraced us. There is no way, no how this man gets us anywhere but the toilet.
Meanwhile I pop onto ol LKRFN's radio show for the first time in a piece to see what he has to say about the realignment shit and the Scoot Frost soundbites and they roll in with some Ween bumper music and that's cool.
You ever end up at neighborhood gatherings looking around tryna figure who has seen you Winnie the pooh-ing it across your living room to shut the light off?
between Nebraska sucking dick, the lack of parity, and all the money related realignment shit, we've done a pretty good job of ruining college football. it's still better than the NFL but 100 times worse than it used to be. does anyone really want to watch Oklahoma take on Vanderbilt and Kentucky every year?
The NFL wild card weekend and playoffs kind of take a giant shit on anything related to college football. The traditions are awesome but if your team sucks ass it sucks ass compared to the NFL. Every team in the NFL thinks they are 1-2 drafts and a free agent or two from having a chance. 6-7 teams in college football feel like they have a chance and the rest of us are stuck with a coach doing blow with a walk-on who had a good catch back in the day.
I say this as my honest opinion. Frost, who I still think is a pretty brilliant offensive mind, some of the concepts and shit they came up with at UCF aren’t bullshit. The guy has a head for the game. Where I think shit went sideways, and I said this to dcon79 recently, is being around a bunch of former friends and it becoming a frat party. I have ZERO faith anything will be turned around, but if this is true I’m guessing it came from shit Trev has heard. I have no idea if this guy, and I’m sorry if he wasn’t even the problem, had anything to do with rumors. Alas, somewhere along the line of the last few years football seems to have taken a huge backseat to other shit. I get that, it’s a hard and stressful fucking job. But when you are paid $5 million a year and promise shit?? The other shit can’t happen. Pick one or the other. Think Trev might be able to weed that out (probably for the next coach...we hope)
Was Moos quickly removed as AD after conference and UNL leaders learned of impending conference realignment or nah? I think his Lincoln County charisma was certainly a liability.
Firing support staff when the on-field product is the actual problem is bewildering. I’m not saying he didn’t deserve to be fired, but what about the actual coaches who recruit and develop or in our case don’t recruit or develop.
Sounds like it was something that was going to happen before Trev. Having said that, I think we will see this with Trev, he will absolutely lay out a list of expectations for football & to Scott. He knows how to handle media, he isn’t going to make himself any more or less available to the media outside what he needs to curry favor for a decision he wants to make. If that means rallying support for Scott? He will do that. If the list of expectation aren’t fulfilled, by him or staff, you will see it play out by his response (or maybe even no response). Trev has made mistakes over time, but he seems to learn from them and won’t be intimidated by Scott. ‘We are going to be comfortable being uncomfortable.’ He will give the staff this year. I don’t think (unless it’s a complete garbage fire) he fires Scott but changes will be expected and made. I’m 100% convinced Frost now knows what that line is and what needs to be done. Trev has always told it like that. ‘I’ll be back for FSU.’ ‘I’m one of the best at ESPN, promote me to prime spot or I’m done.’ ‘UNO needs to do this to become that.’ It’s not always pretty, and I’m sure he would change how he went about some of those decisions, but the man is pretty blunt about what his expectations are of himself and those around him. Zero reason to believe this staff & Frost won’t know, and I suspect already do know.
I don’t disagree but I do think the fact Frost is surrounded by a handful of his longtime friends doesn't help matters. Whether they are taking his attention away from the job, not challenging him to get better, or just not doing their job because they don’t have to is an issue.
It’s an OZ post, you either get a lot of words or a few. Grammatically will be shit every time with no proofreading because I have a brand to protect.
This is amazing. So many drunk people. Switzer got knocked to the ground by a fan after the game too.
These are now the same people who get mad if you stand up too much and think we should cheer for the other team.
