Definitely agree results don’t help at all, but I was still surprised last week at how commercialized/generic the experience was last week. Every timeout seemed to have a ton of advertisements or some weird music choice. Barely any modern music/music I’d expect the players to actually like. That Irish Cornhusker song after the 3rd Q just annoys the shit out of me. I also noticed last week that in pregame they had speakers on the field for when they were playing rap music, but anything else they’d use the regular stadium speakers. If that was intentional it made me lol

Completely agree with all of this. The infuriating thing is that with this defense we may be 4-0 even with the mistakes and shitshow on special teams if the offense was even just half as efficient as expected when Frost was hired. As it stands, however, 3-9 is way more likely than 6-6. You can’t make so many dumb mistakes and win games in the Big Ten.
There are tons of guys over the years at Ohio State who were two or three star head scratchers that Fickell went to bat with Tressel or Meyer to sign, then ended up being first day NFL picks. He recruits his ass off and knows what he’s doing when evaluating talent. If Nebraska can hire him, your fanbase will eat it up. He knows how to coach a fundamentally sound defense and is a very underrated recruiter.

I actually think we’ll go 3-9 but not lose any single game by more than two possessions. All 9 losses will have excruciating moments of penalties/ST Snafus/turnovers that you can point to as game changing plays. But yeah, I was thinking it should be more like MSU -9.
I like how fired up he gets in almost all of his pics. Some of the shots in this are crazy. I would be scared of being benched if I took a shot like this. I also didn't have unreal range like him.
Doing the little things right used to be what Nebaraska preached. It might not have been the most athletic or talented players, but they all worked hard in the weight room and didn't make the countless amount of mental mistakes our team makes now. I don't really remember watching the game. I kept zoning out wondering what practices have to be like to have a team that undisciplined.
I see one or two wins possible left on the schedule. I think we could go winless the rest of the way but think that's unlikely. I also think we generally won't get blown out but instead will continue to lose in the same sort of bad coaching fashion. What's the record that gets Scoot got? Or what's the point where he's very likely good? 5-7? 6-6?
I was talking to my friend a couple weeks ago and said it’s sad that everyone got excited Frost would bring back the “Nebraska way”, as in working hard, developing guys, and showing up ready to scrap. Unfortunately the Frost era has given us the worse version of the “NEW Nebraska way” which is a bunch of mistakes, turnovers, excuses, and looking lost at all times.
We’re talking about Nebraska so who knows how much faith I have in them actually making a good decision either way, but the good thing is with the remaining schedule I’m hoping the decision should be pretty easy. Based on what I assume Vegas spreads will be, I’d say MSU, NW, Purdue, Minnesota are “winnable games” so depending on how many of those we lose the decision could be easy. To make a bowl game they either have to win those games above, OR beat a team like OSU/Wisconsin/Iowa. I’m not saying I want Frost retained, I’m just saying that you’d THINK the decision will be easy after we see how these games turn out. That said, it’s Nebraska so I guess we get 2013 type miracle wins to keep him around and waste another year.

It's anecdotal, but I thought I saw numbers confirming it too, but I talked with a Kiwi for work a few weeks ago and their lockdown measures were so stringent, and kept cases out for such a long time, that folks weren't that concerned about getting vaccinated b/c there were no cases. Then when they opened up even slightly, it fell apart and they had to lockdown again and really push the vaccine. No idea TWs rationale but I'm not sure New Zealand and Nebraska are apples to apples on this.
