Got to see Zach Duval talk this past weekend in KC, that guy is fucking awesome.. NU S&C is doing a crazy amount of tracking of the players-joked that he knows what every player is doing at all times. He bitched about how weak the players were when he got there, said they hadn't back squatted in 3 years under Riley and it showed.
The fabled squat story is one for the ages. There's video of them squatting but it sounds like it was it was only during the off-season. Very odd.

I think Duval is awesome but there's literally video on social media of players doing back squats under the last S&C guy. Like, our DTs doing big ass squat totals in back squat. I have no idea why they keep saying they didn't back squat. It's just not true.

Absolutely. Duval led off his presentation that squats were his #1 lift. He said they will essentially hit their 1RM every 3 weeks inseason to maintain their strength. They do something very similar for speed.
