But I'm just a janitor so
This account is a cesspool. Just followed me the other day. Went back to the tweets and it's relatively new. Just a shitshow.
To completely typecast the situation that's the dickhead who becomes a cop because he wants a badge to be a bigger dickhead. Unfortunately unless you know some of the other people who could come forward with thier accounts of the same thing happening im sure they'll write it off and 2 drunk guys being dumb.
I think you're going to have a hard time convincing the police without a police report. Especially since it was several years ago. Just my thoughts.
I'm not sure he has done a single thing where I even remotely agreed with him.
It just keeps getting worse.
I do have a scar and an ER bill to prove that it happened.
Also, the guy that took me to the ER was completely sober, one of my best friends, and a current OPD officer (wasn't at the time). He and the hosts of the party would definitely back me up.
I understand the reason why these guys are doing it and have no issue with it generally. I just wish it wasn't happening at Nebraska for various reasons not the least of which is it gives mouth breathing retards an opportunity to make me hate people a little more which I don't like. I tried to avoid divisiveness and retarded angry white men by completely ignoring politics ~ a year ago. Now it's in the husk and it feels bad.
Report him/it. I did.
Fair enough. Just, from your post it seems as though they would likely know where that came from (you commented on her post). It's always possible for that to be an issue. If you have people who would back up your side of the story that's awesome. Just know that it's possible he could sue you for a couple different reasons. If that happened, even if you were ultimately not liable, you would prob spend a bunch of money on lawyer fees.
Is the risk worth it? If it is, call them. Just outlining some issues.
I like that it's happening at Nebraska. Harmful stuff being said by morons is awful but cool to see a Husker standing up for what they believe in/being on the forefront of this issue.
For all the backlash off the tweeter that MRI and the others are recieving there is a lot of positive feedback too.
Dude. Tell your friend and have him inform whoever he needs to if he feels he should. It's out of your hands and someone who could actually make something happen will have that chance. Done.
I appreciate it. This is the kind of advice I was looking for. I sent a message through the OPD website and asked them to contact me. If they don't then that's that, but if they do I'm going to tell them my story.
scumbag gonna scumbag
report it, IMO. we don't need more dickhole cops out there.
Players are exercising their first amendment rights. Anyone shushing them needs to go away.
They are correct, and I'm glad they are speaking up on the issue.
You don't have to support this issue and hate police/America/Freedom. They are mutually exclusive positions.
The ONLY gripe I have about the whole process is that these players aren't making the same response to the thousands of black men murdered every year by other black men. If you are going to say black lives matter, you have to speak out louder for that than anything else. But, then again, I know "pro-life" people who are also pro-death penalty and pro-war, so it's not a problem limited in the BLM camp.
TL;DR pls don't die A Black person we need our diversity numbers think of the TEAM and don't get shot k thx.
Wellp, that's enough Husk thread for me for a while.
I am with you fam on most counts.
If I get some time I will post my thoughts.
Cliffs? I've been making fried squash
can i get a gbr up in this mah
Who are you, or any of us for that matter, to say who can protest what and why?
Wait, are you suggesting that Ron can't protest their protest? Who are you, or any of us for that matter, to say what Ron can protest and why?
There's a huge difference between protesting and telling other people what or how they can protest. You understand that, right?
Does Ricketts have any redeeming qualities? I've disagreed with just about every non-financial opinion I've ever heard him say.
Dean, at what point during the debate will Hillary and Trump be addressing the MRI controversy? I hate tuning into the liberal media but I guess I better.
He's likely not a lizard person in a human suit, so he's got that going for him.
FYI a quick Facebook search shows he's a troll account. Likely his true thoughts just too big of a pussy to put his real name on anything.
I just wish that Ron would have the same response to KKK members who protest various events.
I do but I couldn't help myself when I saw how circular your reply was. FTR, I applaud MRI.
Is that a Sam-I-Am account?
Ricketts was answering a comment from a North Platte caller who said Nebraska officials should put the three players on a ship and "dump them in the ocean."
Love my hometown...
Figured as much.
OK, for the people who are upset about it, what could they reasonably expect the university or Riley to do? Cut their scholarships? Reprimand them? If you do something like that, how could you defend that position?
Has this really been said (I've ignored the message boards)? If anything I respect Coach Riley even more for allowing the players to be completely open about their ability to protest.
My lord, can you imagine how much respect he got in the locker room for trusting his players enough to allow them to make a stand about something they feel good about? Especially coming from the leader, MRI, who had some amazing things to say after the Brenda Tracey talk. I'm really fucking proud of our program this offseason way more than I am about our 4-0 start.
- The handling of the rape issue, especially after what we have witnessed at so many other schools
- The tribute to Sam Foltz and the players coming together and creating a lasting symbol and moment for what appeared to be a class act player
- Having some players have the balls to stand up for something they believe in, especially when they have so much to lose. This is followed by a coach that allows them to express this freedom and is saying all the right things.
I'm guessing this is going to become very common across the nation. Schools just need to make sure they aren't the dipshits who have a terrible response to it.
I just poured an alcohol im ready to go
I'm skeptical of that too.
I know every state has them but my god does the response to the players kneeling make me embarrassed to be from the same state as these idiots.
I've seen it many times on Facebook.
It's hypocritical. That's literally all I'm saying. You can protest whatever you want, however you want. I can have my opinions/qualms about a protest while still recognizing the validity of a protest.
Again, constitution protects the right to assembly/speech/protest, while obviously I wouldn't support the event and have my own opinions about it. Nothing I am saying is controversial.

not to interrupt this riveting topic that definitely isn't being discussed in 15 other threads right now, but sounds like milt tenopir has died. RIP, one of the GOATs.
To me one of the most American things a person can do is protest in civil manner to me.
I hear some folks say (paraphrasing of course) 'if these people (blacks) just did what the police said the wouldn't get shot'. I see that, even my coconut (brown on outside white on inside ass) knows that. But for the people that get fucked with by the poe-poe on a daily basis that argument doesn't work. Say the police drive by each day and for no reason and put you against the fence and check your pockets and don't find shit. Then they do the same thing over and over every couple days. At what point do you say 'fuck this I don't have to comply'.
The problem is there are systemic issues in our country, racism (both says), cops not taught deescelation (I could not imagine a harder job than a cop, so that is a slippery slope for me to comment) and TBH black fathers have failed at an alarming rate.
We should celebrate people protesting. I am glad I live in a country that it is legal to burn the flag. If you burn the flag I tend to think you are an ungrateful yam bag, but it is legal. Doesn't mean you have to agree with it but the second you take that away, or threaten to take that away we fail to do what makes this country great. Also, a university, that is a place where kids, MRI is by all measures a kid, need to be free to work out their ideologies and wrestle with their beliefs. If you disagree with those things fine, don't support him. You are free to call him the n word.
It seems too often we lack the ability to see things from another's vantage point. When these shootings happen you have to gather all the info and look at it from both sides.
FTR doing everything a police officer says results in a police state.
Police have the toughest job in the world. I could not imagine the level of acuity it takes to know a routine traffic stop could rasult in being shot.
Blacks killing blacks is a horrible problem, it embarrasses me. It saddens me. I do agree there needs to be more public outcry to address it. But just because there is one problem getting less focus does not mean that the police shooting blacks deserves any less publicity.
it also needs to be considered that poor treatment of black people has gone on for generations. This coming to light is good for all people.
admittedly dis poast rambled a lot and my thoughts weren't as concise as I have liked. That being said, remember this past July when a scum bag killed 5 cops in my city? I was heartbroken. But that week, my heartbreak started on Monday when the boy in Minnesota was shot and when the boy in LA was shot.
I have seen KKK rallies, never once did I think they should be punished for having a rally. I think they are ignorant. For some factions of America, white and black alike the only access they have to the other race is a meme of sorts. Darkies are all gangbangers and honkeys are all racist pigs. That is a real thing, to me that comes down to fear and a lack of exposure to real life.
I'm different than a lot of black folks. I love rock-n-roll and have watched a few episodes of Seinfeld. I have also been detained for no reason and pulled over in HS b/c i rolled a dope ass German whip. One night me and all my buddies got into a tussle with some dudes from another private school at a bar. I was the only black person there. And the only person cuffed and tossed into the ass end of a black and white. I was told I looked threatening. I asked the cop, after complying and being in cuffs what I did wrong. I asked repeatedly, which is legal. I was told I was resisting and threatening a cop. It took 15 witnesses in my favor, including the manager of the joint and the dudes we were fighting telling the commanding officer on scene I didn't do shit to get realeased. I have also had dozens of interactions with police well the police were respectful and rationale, to a degree kind and caring. There are bad blacks, there are bad cops. Both need attention.
Racism is real, look at the disparity between sentencing in the 80's for cocaine vs crack. Ya know what else is real, too many guns and not enough education and fathers in the community.
Pls don't thread ban me.
cliffs: race war pending choose wisely honkeys.
Too many awesome people have died lately. RIP, coach Milt.
Rest In Peace Milt
RIP. 2016 can get fucked.
RIP to one of the GOAT coaches. That video last week of him at practice was special.
