P much fast forwarded through that whole game after the second play.
ok I'm here for the bad posting. Lay it on me.
oof that did not take long
What szn is it?
Do you really want this thread to turn into an RRS/HPH type place where only one opinion is accepted and everyone else gets shouted down?
no. I just don't believe in "our coaches should have done better cuz, well, they just should have" as a valid take. With what? Honestly, with fucking what?
You can "be a little worried" all you want. You could also make an attempt at this mysterious thing that you are worried about, or just live in "not saying just saying" world.
We got absolutely killed tonight. I honestly don't know what you think our coaches are supposed to do when our only playable QB throaws a pcik 6 on his first throw and then dies. Against a team with about 4x as much talent as us. On the road.
Please don't say "cuz they get paid a lot."
#Dirtpinion is the only pinion that maters round deez parts
So what did riles say to that fuck nugget? Sturban didn't say a damn word and Riley got in about 3 sentences. I'm guessing....
"You should go FUCK yourself tonight"
"Cause I fuccked Shelley last night"
"And Nicole's waiting for me tonight"
we really need Urban to have a fake heart attack and go to Notre Dame here soon IYAM
It isn't that only one opinion is accepted. It's that the bad ones are going to be ridiculed. We all know our talent level is not where it is supposed to be. Remember the Bo guy that recruited the majority of our team?
True. But I want it to wait a few years so we can deep dick that ass first. I'm usually team "it's up to the defense to stop them". But the going for it on 4th down up 40. Throwing on first down up 60 with 2 mins to go. Fuck that fucker. He's on Pinkel fake field goal up 20 with 5 mins to go level of FAGGOT tier.
Come on, where'd I say this?
You're not at least a little concerned that we attack every team offensively the same way? You're fine with us being lucky to get 2 yards damn near every first down? You think it's fine that we seem to be near unable to stop anyone on 3rd and long? Yes, the talent isn't there, but let's not pretend that's the only reason tonight happened.
You're making me complain much more than I actually want to, but are you serious with this? There's a difference between "our talent isn't where it needs to be" and getting beat worse than an FCS team.
True. But he also recruited the talent that most are still predicting we go 9-2 with. Also our talent preformed worse than Northwestern, Indiana, Rutgers, and Tulsa. I think Bo out crooked all of those shit stains. This team gave up, it folded, it was weak, it was an embarrassment and the coaches are responsible. You might argue they're 10% responsible OHW might argue they're 90%. Either way they've got to take the heat.
At least let people talk about it. Painting everyone as a chicken little to turn the conversation into platitudes for the team and coaches is boring.
We're lucky to get 2 yards on first down. That is the extent of the disaster that is our interior OL. + RT. So everyone except Gates. Yes, we are EXACTLY that talent deficient, and if you have some recipe for making chicken soufle out of chicken fisheads, please tell us.
Yeah, I think we lost pretty much exclusively because of talent. A huge talent gap. And don't pretend like Urban prepared his team for a top ten Nebraska team in November with his playoff resume on the line as he did FCS teams in September. We got the treatment UW got in the B1G title game two years ago. We didn't have the horses to stop it. There's no gameplan that can put the brakes on that. Especially when Ryker fucking Fyfe is the man in charge (let's now argue about whether or not Ryker Fyfe is the WOAT QB again).
I was pretty afraid this would happen tonight. And no, I didn't lose any faith in this staff's body of work to date.
You ever hammered and then realize you a couple knucks deep then you realize wrong hole fool, then you just keep at it cuz why not. I have GBR
Pipe szn volume 7
OHW just said "platitudes" let's all point and laugh
Maybe we should all just step away from our keyboards tonight. Except Sex Fuckhead, keep poasting.
Ouch. That will rustle KW's jims a bit.
One thing I am LH 100% certain of: OC at NU is probably the most thankless job in the world.
Zach Smith manicures his eyebrows
So why try the same thing every single first down? If I can spot the trend, then the other team that charts all of our drives sure as shit can to.
It's absurd to blame players for everything.
Same banner on avatar.
People said Omaha isn't great and called him a bad poaster.
If you say so. I'm saying the talent gap is easily the most obvious thing to point to. Your criticism of our coaching is extremely vague and based largely on the supposition that it's just sorta wrong to only blame the players cuz it must be.
By "same thing every first down" do you mean "running on first down?" As though that's one thing?
I saw a team that has one, perhaps two, players that would start for the other that dumped a bucket of blood into the water at the first whistle against one of the most vicious sharks in CFB history. You think mixing it up a little more on first down with Ryker Fyfke and our WOAT OL changes the result of this game significantly?
Guys, why are you doing the transitive property with college football thing? Have some self-respect.
I don't see either side budging but I would argue for a position somewhere in the middle. Yes the talent gap is huge but also there are creative ways to cover up issues and still be productive, and we have done that at times.
MUTHER fucking cunt FACED dean ohoulihan of cfb coaching. I stsly hate him so muxh
GO FUCCK YOURSELVES IMO
I'm not sure there's a way to do it against a team that:
1. Is much, much more talented and
2. Is coached by one of the bloodthirstiest assholes in CFB and
3. is playing in their home and
4. is playing to preserve its playoff hopes and
5. is playing on national prime time TV and
6. is now up 7 zip because of a pick six on the second play from scrimmage and
7. whose opponent has a completely non-functioning OL and
8. also loses their QB and has to play a major depressive disorder at QB
call different plays. That'll do it. Right?
Pay attention. When the pressure is on Nebraska, maybe the opponent just scored or they're backed up pretty deep, the series goes-
1st down - Run, for 3 yards if lucky
2nd down - play action
3rd down - forced passing down, Tommy does Tommy things
When the pressure isn't there, if the Husks have a lead, Langsdorf spices it up.
And if you're really taking the line that it's all on talent, how the fuck is our special teams terrible against everyone? You really gonna tell me Purdue and Fresno State have better talent than we do?
Anyone by chance know when it's pipe szn?????
are we debating whether better coaching loses this game by 49 instead of 59?
pnk$krtcryna$ty brings this out of me. You make me way oversell my point, because you pretend there's no issue at all. I'm really happy with the coaches on the season as a whole, but they, and the players, laid a giant egg tonight.
THOM FUCKING DAMJKT. And now el case de dirte is out of bourbon.
I don't think anyone's arguing that flawless coordinators would have beaten Ohio St. tonight. Just that there is room for improvement at times. The Wisconsin game is a better example. Did everyone feel the play calling in OT was the best we could have done given our personnel? It seems unlikely to me.
No, but I think that game was well-coached all together.
I'll admit this is probably true. I do this.
Had an argument with buddy$krt the other week. I hate The Beatles, and he also hates the Beatles, but thinks I owe them some credit in some ways. And the argument that ensues puts him in the position to defend a band he hates and makes him sound like he actually loves them.
My whole disagreement with you is that: is it possible that coaching error factors into a game like this? Sure. But I'm not even sure how you begin to assess that in light of the massive roster voids Pelini left us with. I don't think it's really reasonable to criticize playcalling when the coach in question is charged with somehow playcalling his way around being down several scores to a more talented team when he has have zero OL.
So I think it's wholly reasonable to hold off and extend benefit of the doubt until this staff 1. has adequate tim to patch some of these holes up and coach a team without huge, important weaknesses or B. has adequate tim to demonstrate they can't patch those holes. I'm not gonna look at this 62-3 game and assume part of that is due to the inferiority of our coaches because, well, it just must be cuz it can't all be talent.
also, blaming our talent deficit is not blaming the players. It's blaming Bo Pelini.
I blame the faggots aka all of you. H8 u guys so much. Jk.
Throwing 40 yard bomb after 40 yard bomb. Nebraska's offense has been the exact same pass-happy shit stain for the last 3 staffs.
Woaterboater I ain't in the mood for your shit right now man
Tommy at Ohio State University Medical Center.
I stand with pnk$krtcryna$ty
