I know the tournament was a terrible showing, and fuck conference pride, but Fred’s B1G bball and Bolt’s B1G bball are dramatically different animals. Fred take all the money. Frost restitute all the money, you paste eating fraud.
I disagree. We haven’t seen results but I see several factors that indicate we are improving. - the team was playing its best ball at the end of the season in a meat-grinder of a schedule. - the amount of set plays & opportunities I saw, every game, that led to an open shot were dramatic for a college team imo. Did they hit those shots?? Not often - you absolutely can’t ignore the recruiting class he just brought in. The first year is 100% a wash, he was forced to throw some darts, blindly, at a board and hope to knock a couple numbers off in cricket. - they lost their main advantage as a program last season, the fans, and lots of practice time with a couple players that were actually players. The record sucks, no doubt about it, lots of close, agonizing losses and a few too many ass-kickings. But the potential is there and 100% it looks like they have a plan in place. Year 3 was big for Fred at Iowa State, while I don’t see that kind of leap here, I do see a leap. This is a program that has never won a fucking tourney game. They now have 3 top 100 players coming in next year and a couple of really solid starters on the team already. They need an elite shooter and another good shooter & I think this thing starts to fly. They competed way too fucking hard at the end of the year for me to not think otherwise.
Maybe not give Fred more money, but 100% don’t take it from him. Team Women’s sports, Team Bolt, team wrestlin’, team about anything but football.

I get it’s best for most of these writers’ livelihood to be a yes-man for the AD so I don’t even care about that, but Sip annoys the crap out of me because he seems to hold it against anyone who isn’t a yes-man and also seems to think it’s still 1980. Dean always came off like a giant dork, and was more easy to laugh at than anything. Then he turned all cocky/smug which started to actually annoy me...but last year when he was tweeting out COVID stats every day acting like he was going to sway the B10 into playing was all-time.
