STFU you cunts. Why are you talking about Husk Football in the Husk thread? Let’s instead have a 5 page argument on the best type of soup. Then 3 more pages on if chili counts as a soup.
My grandma’s vegetable meatball soup is better than any non-chili soup you’ll find in the 308. Don’t @ me.
chili is definitely soup, not sure how it could be argued otherwise. unless you've never actually had chili which could be true for LKRFN88jp.
Lol. Simpletons like “user” Dantes out there dipping cinny rolls in some f’n minestrone or dumping some chicken noodle on a hot dog because those are things that soups do.
Or you know, a facts based analysis from one of husk cities brightest minds: Definition of soup 1: a liquid food with a meat, fish, or vegetable stock as a base and often containing pieces of solid food
https://nebraska.tv/news/local/ord-community-demands-action-from-controversial-sign I’ve lived in some backwards places. JFC
Ah yes, those pesky racial people. "I thought it was a good idea because I think the United States of America is threatened by having all these multitude of other racial people coming into our country," said the signs owner, Jake Bredthauer.
That guy's an idiot (obviously). He owns a bunch of junk buildings in Ord and is always in trouble for not paying his taxes. maga
I’m talking about guys that were instant studs. Gomes and the Demorrio Williams choice were good. Either way, Nebraska has a better list than most and it’s still relatively short. Having said that, I’d love to be wrong. Sounds like Green is every bit as big and quick as projected.
Im also team take 3-4 JUCO guys every year at places of potential need (or if one just appears to be a stud). Even if it takes them a year to get used to the system, a guy that gives you 1 good/great season while allowing depth to be built up (and in our case) Duval’s program to take shape is important.
Breakout dudes: Defense: completely agree with EdmondDantes and *it won’t tag him* @1. Williams and Stille have shown ability to make splash plays and they have another year in the system while being clear starters. Offense: Austin Allen, Stoll will be the main guy, but I think Allen ends up with around 20 catches with 10+ being touchdowns/big plays/15+ yards. It doesn’t seem like a ton, but I think you get 1-2 big plays from him a game. In theory, this is what makes Frost’s offense so hard to stop. So many guys can beat you through scheme/speed and he knows how to create those mismatches as good as anybody in the country.
the only silver lining in these stories is at least the other people in the community are calling them out on their shit
I also think, ideally going forward, Frost has made it pretty obvious how he wants to play B1G football. Scheme and speed to get the lead, and power and strength to break your back the second half. But, if they do get down the first part doesn’t make any game out of reach (Iowa). Scheme wise, it’s a lot like the basketball version of the Warriors. You need a Steph (Adrian) to make it go at that speed and to jump on people (or comeback) but you also need a Draymond to lock up guys down the stretch and be the hammer to the finesse.
I weirdly made the GSW comparison when talking to a friend this week. The offense can feature a lot of “positionless” features. Some of those TEs can line up traditionally, or they can split out wide and even play in the backfield as an H-Back. Guys like JD, Johnson, Wandale, Mo can lineup in the backfield or out wide. Just tons of ways to create mismatches consistently.
Lord Thom in heaven if you're reading dis poast plz give it a lyk so I know you're with us and making our OL not suck cuz if our OL is at all decent we are going to put our Ps in Iowa and Wisconsin's Bs in a dry and uncomfortable manner
Best quarter of Nebraska football in the last 10 years? 2010 Missouri? First quarter complete dominance of a top 10 team. Owning Gabbert.
No reason to think the talent is not there except for michigan and osu. I think you guys will surprise
I agree with you, bad coaching really got your team. You have average talent and it should get you guys some ok results for now with good coaching And It will get better. Be patient if you still suck
Please stop disrespecting Frost by comparing his o and especially his d to the GSW. We all know that Kerr visited him when he was QB coach at Oregon to learn about the Duck R position, the role Steph Curry made great.
2010 was a wild season. Had the highs of beating the shit out of Washington, Kansas State, and Colorado. Dominating top 10 Missouri and the 51-41 shootout at Okie State. Then the lows of the horrible loss to Texas at home, that bullshit at Texas A&M, and blowing a 17 point lead to Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship game.
Eight is where I'm at. If we avoid any and all starters getting injured I could see mine or ten. Anything eight or more would be fantastic and really get the ball rolling for Frost IMO.
I've been telling myself 7-5 personally just so if we do that I won't be disappointed and if we exceed that I'll be super happy with it. That should absolutely be our floor this year though with this schedule and this roster.
8-4 imo coaching wasn’t pelini’s issue. Being a dick face and recruiting was. Pelini was an A+ defensive coordinator, until teams learned how to beat his system and he couldn’t adapt with worsening talent from mediocre recruiting
100% chance we get a PETA situation if that buffalo comes 10 steps closer to some of the guys on that roster.
