Not sure if any of you follow golf/PGA Tour, but native Husk (from Scottsbluff) Nate Lashley is destroying the field at this weeks tourney stop in Detroit. He's up by 5 on the 18th right now. Will just have to hold on tomorrow to be a PGA Tour winner. The first ever from our great state I do believe.
....and he just put his approach on 18 to 3 feet. Should make that and have a 6 shot lead going into tomorrow.
I've got some family that knows him well. Heartbreaking story with his parents and gf dying in a plane crash after going to watch him golf in college. Rooting my ass off for him.
yikes no wonder the owh continues to badly fail and flounder. his name is in his Twitter handle and they still missed it. what a perverse operation.
Jamar Sekona picked up another husk CB this morning. Him and Nutmasher would be a hell of a DT haul for Corch T. Can’t forget Jakeem Green if we keep him, suspect we will.
golf post Spoiler I got to play Dismal River Club yesterday for the first time. Was a pretty good time outside of the absurd heat. If you enjoy blind shots and every lie being on a slope, it's your place. I know DRC had gotten a bit of a down reputation the last few years under it's old owners, but I was pretty impressed with the amenities and the staff, they were on top of everything. from a golf perspective, very difficult course for newcomers to play due to all the blind shots. made the mistake of not buying a yardage book for the first 18. also layout is confusing, hard to find the next tee box at times. but the course was in pretty good condition for late June and outside of a few holes I never thought the place was too gimmicky. would rate the prairie club dunes course above both at DRC (have not played pines, got rained out). My neb top 5 of courses I've played: 1. Prairie Club Dunes 2. Dismal River Red 3. Wild horse 4. Dismal River White 5. Bayside/Tatanka (tie) also if anyone has a hook up to Sandhills for next year and is in need of a foursome let me know.
Yall hearing anything about Ajou? We have one WR slot left and it's seems like Ajou is down to GBR and Clemson
I'm headed out to the Prairie Club in a couple weeks to play for a few days. Have you done the stay and play out there or just played a round? Was looking for recommendations on what to do at the club after we are done with golf each day.
I did the stay and play last year. If you have time after your rounds on the day then mess around on the horse course. Other than that, theres only 3 things you can do. 1. Hang out in your room/lodge doing whatever. 2. Go to the restaurant/bar and eat/drink. 3. If its a nice evening/night...hang out in adirondack chairs drinking and smoking cigars. You're really out on the middle of absolute nowhere. It's golf heaven but there isnt anything else to do other than relax. Its amazing.
Oh didn't realize you went out there, what you described sounds heavenly and pretty much what I want out of a golf trip. Golf and relaxation. I might venture into town to hit Bolo Brewing one night but otherwise I imagine it'll just be drinking and cigars on the deck like you described. What did you like/dislike about the Dunes and the Pines? I think they designate which course you can play each day so we'll obviously play both weather permitting.
There really isn't anything I disliked about either course. They are both awesome yet very different. The Pines is more "normal" I guess. The Dunes is amazing. So crazy wide open. Tons of elevation change. The biggest fairways you'll ever see but yet you still need to be accurate off the tee so you have manageable angles for approach shots.
Best Omaha receiver since Niles Paul? lol Spoiler but seriously kid is a freak athlete and probably the most talented since Crouch
Gunnerson is apparently very unhappy about any of this leaking... He can be pissed all he wants about this leaking. But when your recent follows on Twitter are Matt Davison and fucking Sipple. You are setting up for commitment interview. Be more fucking subtle lol
It still blows my mind that the first two same class national type WR recruits out of Omaha in god knows how long are named Zavier and Xavier and their last names are Betts and Watts.
And if his choice leaking on social media changes his decision, then we know he's a tw*rp pardon my language
10 years ago I knew the rivals ratings and high schools of 99% of the roster. Now as an old, I've come to grips with the fact I'll never be able to tell these two apart.
...or maybe subconsciously you’ve come to grips with the fact that Nebraska will never be the superpower in CFB it once was and instead you are trying to act like your age is the reason you don’t follow recruiting anymore.
My guy's existence appears to consist of obsessing over 17-22 year old athletes and trolling a message board. I'm quite happy to not be similar to him
