Saw Mulaney last night and while the vibe was noticeably different than his previous stuff it was still really, really good. He performed for more than 90 minutes and at least an hour of it was about his drug use, intervention & rehab stints. It was interesting to hear the details about it all and what happened/the funny behind the scenes stuff about all of his famous friends that were involved. Definitely worth the money if he comes to your area which seems to be almost a certainty since he’s seemingly everywhere at some point on this tour.
Yes i liked a post from 2017 because this was one of my favorite specials I’ve watched in some time. Unfortunately just about all the material is still relevant five years later.
i don’t know if you’re a barstool consumer or not, but he did a nfl preview with the pmt guys and they went thru every coach and qbs fuck style it was legitimately the hardest i’ve laughed in years
The YouTube algorithm showed me this guy. Think he's pretty good and specifically this bit is very good.
He recently got added to Nate Bargazte's podcast and has been funny to learn more about and just hear his thought process.
He's got some funny stuff about trailer parks too. He's got some dead spots in his full act which I'm sure he's still refining his process
I saw him live like 18 months ago and it was solid but I was referring to his Amazon special that came out the other day. Not good at all imo
Love Sam Morrill. This one is a couple years old at this point but didn't see it posted here. It's really really really fuckin good. "Some of these jokes you're not gonna like the content, but structurally they're gonna be really solid."
That's disappointing. I finally watched Greatest Average American last night and for a Grammy nominated album/special I didn't think it was as good as Tennessee Kid or his Yelled At By A Clown album.
I finally got some of Normand and Morrill's Rye Whiskey they're making last month. Not bad, need to make some Manhattans with it.
it's notably worse than GAA which was a sizeable step down from his earlier stuff imo he did all new material when we saw him but almost none of it made this new special, which was surprising because he seemed to kill and just about all of it was better than what made it in
Saw Anthony Jesselnik a couple weeks ago. Similar to past shows. I love his humor so if you like it too, you won't be disappointed. He had about 45 minutes worth of a show and the other 20 was taking audience questions which was as good as the show.
super bummed because we had tickets to see him last weekend and he got laryngitis cancelled last minute, really hoping he's able to reschedule those dates because he's prob my favorite comedian out there today
I got recommended some Geoffrey Asmus on YouTube and watched some of his stuff and he seemed pretty funny. He’s still pretty early on you can tell. I’m afraid to like any new comedian these days though for fear of a milkshake duck situation.
absolutely love Asmus and saw him last month, he makes fun of both sides but has mentioned/joked on multiple occasions what its like being a liberal, college educated guy in midwest Wisconsin and sometimes leans into that ironically but I think you're pretty safe a few of my favs: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/I4tnE2-QnPI https://www.youtube.com/shorts/4HJLPIms0hk https://www.youtube.com/shorts/AU76rPZcThk https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Aq9siUcA94g https://www.youtube.com/shorts/mXaYNe4vI-c https://www.youtube.com/shorts/AfVyU-fgCUU
no idea why those didn’t embed but they’re all short clips worth checking out he’s def still pretty new & a little raw but the talent is there
Shorts don't embed fwiw I'm pretty sure he paid YouTube to recommend his stuff because it's popping up on my feed non stop as well. Same with my dad because he said the same thing.
