If the hot peppers kill the virus we could really have a stew going.
I'm surprised you guys got through screening to be tested with such mild symptoms. Was getting approved for testing a pain in the ass?
Thanks dude. All things considered we are very fortunate. With people dying or losing their livelihood, we can handle a few weeks on the couch
Good TMB posters fall into the loophole for rich people, professional athletes, and celebrities.
My theory is that we only got tested because the Mrs runs a very expensive, very exclusive nursing home. Shes pretty important in that world and they need to know if she has got it for sure
Did you have almost like a buildup on your throat that needed to be cleared constantly? I’ve had the weirdest sinus stuff where my nose isn’t stopped up but I feel like I’m constantly clearing my throat...
This makes complete sense but I’m going to defer to my previous post
Just keep an eye on your lungs, crackling and popping sounds when breathing are the beginning signs of pneumonia
Makes sense. I assume everybody within the nursing home has also been tested now?
My whole family has had this almost like “I’m getting a cold” feeling and then it goes away only to come back in 12 hours. Weird shit going around this year...or it’s the covid
we’ve had for about a month btw
This has been me as well. No real nasal drainage, but having to clear my throat quite a bit. No dry cough or sore throat though.
As quickly as capacity will allow yeah. Some of the big big names got private testing from who knows where (Kendra Scotts mom, Elija Wood's mom, Dr. Goodenough, the nobel prize winner who invented the lithium ion battery are all residents so there is some serious pull in the facility).
Serological testing can't become available soon enough.
I think a lot of us including myself are playing the “allergies, cold or COVID?” game. I’ve had an irritated throat, light nasal drip and on and off head ache for a little over a week which I’m attributing to the early pollen dump we are getting with the early heat here in Bama. Did have a low fever last week but that’s probably only bc I’m checking it daily like a mad man. Normal for human temp to get up in the 99’s for various reasons unrelated to illness. Just telling myself to relax and try to not focus on every single feeling of malaise
Throw hangover into this as I try to drink away the anxiety most evenings.
Shit, hope you guys feel better man.
It’s not as bad as you’d think, it does suck terribly until you get used to it. I had a brain injury that severed my olfactory nerves completely. No taste or smell for the rest of my life.
As Tony Ray Bans alluded to, I assume it makes it much easier to eat healthy.
Ive also been more tired than lately when I get home from work but I’m in supply chain so I’m constantly stressed and under duress throughout the day. Headaches on and off... again, attributing it to mainly stress and allegories... but IT COULD BE THE RONA maybe...
In a strange way, are you glad to have it out of the way? No impending doom hanging over your head.
This is my new covid thread. The other one has me coming to terms with my mortality multiple times a day.
It definitely does. I still eat unhealthy here and there though. Homemade gourmet fatass meals preferably.
Kind of what I was thinking. If I knew the symptoms would be as described here, sign me up and get those antibodies in.
Pretty wild how this virus spans the spectrum from zero symptoms at all to death. Is that normal?
I started reading stories of the symptoms and it’s crazy the whole spectrum they are. I’ll see if I can find the article...
So do you still enjoy/have favorite foods?
I think that relates to the “novel” factor. No previous exposure or immunities makes it hard to predict who will react well or poorly to it, or whose immune system might overreact
I’m not a doctor that’s just how I’ve been reading into it
Story on peoples symptoms
Positive vibes your way man. Get well soon
Do you work in the office next to mine?
Unrelated to the story itself, the headline taught me it's not "kitten caboodle."
That's what blows my mind. It's killing healthy young people while some people don't even know they have it.
You got any literature to back up the loss of taste/smell? My brother-in-law was in the ER last week with concussion symptoms and then came back two days later because he lost his sense of smell/taste
I’ve been taking my temp daily since the shit hit the fan. The thing I’ve learned? My baseline temp is 96.5 or so.
How’s the sex ?
Has there been anything about the amount of the virus you're exposed to and how it correlates to the severity of symptoms? I feel like I saw something about that early on but don't really remember.
had something similar with my daughter
she falls down a well, her eyes go cross. she gets kicked by a mule. they go back to normal. i don't know.
Mid 97’s checking in. There was some article about how internal human temps are dropping and there really isn’t a good answer but I’ll save my climate change theory for another thread.
Yeah I saw something about viral load but it's so early that nothing has really been studied extensively enough to have a definitive answer. I've also seen stuff about different blood types but again the evidence is weak
Definitely. I love cooking, as long as my steak is rare-med rare with a nice sear on it, my meats are smoked properly or there is a well balanced contrast im good. Spicy, sweet, and smokey I enjoy the most.
Hope you and your wife fully recover
good news- you should both be ready to go for Trump’s victory Easter blow out
Yeah I saw the blood type thing as well. Stupidly enough, I don't even know what my blood type is, so I'm going to assume I have the good one.
I will drink 10+ beers in your honor tonight OP
every day around 4-6, my temp is at 99.3 or so. i panic that i have it but i turn off the heater in my living room and it goes down to 98.4. it’s probably being hungover and having the scaries.
will i learn my lesson tomorrow? nope
Have you considered changing your name to Tony Rona?
tony corona bans
there is a nursing home in Little Rock that is up to 30 with positive tests. None, at my mom's to date. Hope they caught your wife's quickly. Really hope y'all continue to have limited issues with this thing. Do you live in 78741?
