Partially true. He has recruited well enough to where we aren't a complete tear down. The thing I can't understand is that he has recruited very well on the offensive line, but we still can't block for shit. The shotgun QB read option is the basis of Jones's offense. And it makes sense when you have Dobbs as a battering ram. While people liked to criticize Dobbs he was fucking great last year. Replace Jalen Hurts with Dobbs and Bama wins the Natty by 2 touchdowns.

Gruden is a great hire for Tennessee. When you can bring a guy out of the booth to coach for the first time in a decade whose last experience in the college game was a quarter century ago as a WR coach you have to do it.
