If you want something to read to pass the time before GRRM dies before putting out his next book

    check out the Wheel of Time series, starting with book 1 The Eye of the World. Its of the high fantasy genre like Lord of the Rings, but better imo. I just started to reread it and I have forgotten how good the writing is.

    I also suggest the First Law Trilogy. Started the first book, The Blade Itself and so far its really good.

    I bet Sanderson is monitoring GRRMs obesity like a hawk. You know when GRRMs heart explodes Sanderson is going to stalk his widow until she lets him take over the series. GRRM rolling in his grand piano sized coffin thinking of Mormon tiddly winks Sanderson finishing his series for him.

    I wouldn't be surprised if GRRM has actually joked aloud to his wife about that scenario.

    In all seriousness ,The Way of Kings by Sanderson is a pretty good read, as are his Mistborn books.
