It becomes an echo chamber of whatever you are most interested in. I’m in some bourbon trading groups and that’s 90% of my feed, so if you’re somebody joining anti-vax or conspiracy groups, you’d see that constantly, every single day for as long as you’re in the groups.
I saw a Vice video where they talked about how a bunch of them in Texas don't want to vaccinate because they don't want the government telling them what to do with their body. Yet these same people probably want abortion to be illegal...
She's also a "conservative" at least publicly to make money so there's a pretty good chance she was getting vaccinated despite profiting from telling stupid people not to do it.
I do too...a bit too many. I thought his conclusion at the end was spot on. Something’s wrong they’re just misattributing exactly what that something is.
Easiest ways to make money. 1. Get paid by the government/Whole Foods/libs to just fabricate research and publish papers that say humans are the drivers of climate change, 2. Get paid by pharma companies to fabricate any number of kinds of medical/pharmacokinetics research 3. Collect those sweet sweet Soros bucks by getting paid to attend protests
This is a pretty fair presentation of both sides of the vaccine debate: http://www.howdovaccinescauseautism.com/
Very interesting study in Nature about how people that oppose GMOs the strongest are actually less knowledgeable about the subject and science knowledge in general. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41562-018-0520-3 Here’s a good summary article about it https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.inverse.com/amp/article/52475-gmo-science-blindness-survey So yeah, would also make sense a similar study done of anti vaccination advocates would show the exact same thing. We all intuitively guess that anti vaccination advocates are literally the dumbest people on the planet when it comes to immunology and science, but makes me feel better that it is probably scientifically accurate as well. bUt I’vE dOnE tHe rEsEaRcH!
this is a good point. I'm not anti-GMO person. I really don't care. But organic, non-gmo foods don't post anywhere near the danger as anti-vaxxers. Regardless, there is a terrible trend where people join movements/causes and form opinions without any information. Again, fuck the internet
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/30531564/?i=2&from=O’Leary ST pregnant vaccines Routine immunization of pregnant women against pertussis and influenza is recommended, yet coverage in the U.S remains suboptimal. In a nationally representative survey of 331 obstetrician-gynecologists (ob-gyns; 69% response rate), investigators explored the beliefs that lead women to refuse these immunizations and the clinical strategies perceived as best for overcoming vaccine hesitance. Vaccine refusal by >10% of pregnant patients was noted by 62% of ob-gyns for influenza vaccine and 32% of ob-gyns for tetanus toxoid, reduced diphtheria toxoid, and acellular pertussis (Tdap). Physicians reported that their patients refused vaccines because these women believed the influenza vaccine made them ill (48%), they felt they were not at risk for vaccine-preventable disease (38%), they had general concerns about vaccines (32%), they desired a “natural” pregnancy (31%), and they were concerned about autism (25%). Respondents considered the most effective strategy for overcoming vaccine refusal to be emphasizing the potential for adverse outcomes for the neonate.
Btw the school requirement thing has been shown not to be effective in other vaccination scenarios as well. People don’t give a shit what schools require since we allow “religious” exemptions.
Honestly you shouldn't be allowed to attend schools if you have "religious" exemptions. Go to your hippie dippie or Jehovah's Witness school if you are an awful person.
I have a teenage son that like any responsible parent got him HPV vaccine. He had to take 3 series of shots. Got the bill after round 1 and it was over $200, was going to cost almost $700 total for the doctor recommended cancer preventing vaccine. I called and bitched and was told there was nothing they could do about for first series but next time just write down "my insurance doesn't cover this vaccine." I was skeptical but next 2 rounds were only $20 each. Wtf
Also same Journal of Pediatrics Not only does the vaccine work (no duh) but also shows real life herd immunity in the unvaccinated (bUt HeRd iMmUnItY hAs BeEn dEbUnKeD).
Btw, completely huge coincidence and not related to any rising Facebook and social media trend, but near (modern day) record outbreaks of Measles in Europe and in the US and huge regional outbreaks of Pertussis. Very cool, very legal. No collusion correlation!
Do we know where the materials for the flogging instruments were sourced from? This could be an issue.
Hmmm... I think I recall one Very effective wAy to protect your Child from measles. Not sure though, Can't quIte remember Now. oh wEll. good luck.
Well that entire thread is heartbreaking. All of those parents whose kid died should be charged with murder.
Is there any way we can start a petition to have parents who's kids die from preventable diseases charged with negligent homicide?
