Bite your finger nails, don’t wash your hands all the time, and just generally don’t be a germaphobe and you tend not to get sick. I can’t think of a worse thing to do to your kid than to constantly use hand sanitizer on him and not give them vaccines. That kid is Gonna be sick all his damn life.
There's a growing (if not already accepted) body of evidence that constant hand sanitizer with kids hinders building their immune system and may lead to more allergies. I've been on the far other end too much lately though, don't wash my hands enough when dealing with our kiddo.
And yet they were smoking, and most likely expose their children to second hand smoke, but vaccines are dangerous.
I laughed out loud for like a minute at how ludicrous this picture was, then I got angry that this BS actually gets shared on Facebook.
Made from cell lines originally from an embryo, so technically there are likely fragments of abandoned/aborted fetal cells in a vaccination. The pope/Catholic Church wrote a statement saying it’s better to use them even though they have “aborted” fetal tissue in it compared to allowing terrible diseases to kill kids. Source I work for a catholic hospital system and have had to defend this information multiple times
SIAP Japan has a new drug that could kill the flu in 24 hours. So why doesn't the U.S. have it? Korin Miller Writer , Yahoo Lifestyle•February 23, 2018 This has been an especially deadly flu season here in the U.S., but a new breakthrough medication promises to kill the flu virus in 24 hours. The catch: It’s only available in Japan. Wall Street Journal. In a clinical trial, Japanese and American patients who took the drug when they had the flu saw the virus wiped out, on average, in 24 hours. Wall Street Journal, the drug won’t be available in the U.S. until at least 2019." style="margin-bottom: 1em;">Xofluza is manufactured by Japanese drug maker Shionogi and won’t hit shelves until at least May — again, in Japan. According to the Wall Street Journal, the drug won’t be available in the U.S. until at least 2019. Xofluza works differently — it inhibits an enzyme the flu virus needs to replicate. The drug can work in 24 hours because it inhibits a process known as “cap snatching,” which is a mechanism used by viruses to hijack the mRNA (a nucleic acid in living cells that acts as a messenger for DNA) transcription system to allow the creation of viral RNAs, Sherif Mossad, M.D., an infectious disease specialist at Cleveland Clinic, tells Yahoo Lifestyle. He calls Xofluza an “excellent addition” to current flu-fighting medications. “This could lead to easier treatment of flu,” he adds. Infectious disease expert Amesh A. Adalja, M.D., senior scholar at the John’s Hopkins Center for Health Security, agrees. “The more antiviral options people have to treat the flu, the better,” he tells Yahoo Lifestyle. Tamiflu has the highest impact when it’s taken within the first 48 hours after the onset of flu symptoms. Adalja says it’s likely that early intervention will be better with Xofluza too. “The earlier you take any kind of medication, the better in general it will work,” he says. As with most drugs, there is potential for misuse. Mossad has concerns that if it’s regularly taken too late after the onset of the flu, it may lead to drug resistance. “FDA approval is a lengthy process,” Adalja says. “We often find that drugs are approved in other countries before they’re approved in the U.S.” In fact, Japan has two other drugs approved to treat the flu that we don’t have in the U.S., he points out. Reza Nassiri, M.D., a professor of pharmacology and toxicology, family and community medicine at Michigan State University, tells Yahoo Lifestyle that the gone-in-24-hours report for Xofluza is based on symptoms, and that research is needed to confirm that the drug actually kills the flu virus. “It is certainly worth it to start limited clinical trials of this novel drug in the USA, but it is my understanding this will not happen until next year,” Nassiri says. Judging from the preclinical and clinical studies conducted by Shionogi, Nassiri says, the drug doesn’t seem to pose any kind of life-threatening risks to flu patients who take it as a single dose. Bottom line: This drug could be coming to the U.S., but you might be waiting a while.
Tamiflu is like $300 with my shitty insurance. I'll just suffer through it for that price. Hopefully this will be more reasonably priced but I'm skeptical
Lol yea I was trying to be optimistic. I'll just suffer through the flu as opposed to taking out a loan to only have it 24 hrs
Guys, I hope none of you got the flu shot this year. I’ve been told through FB in no uncertain terms that a doctor at the CDC has confirmed that the flu shot is causing this outbreak and is responsible for thousands of deaths. As we all know, a reporter at NeonNettle . Com is the first place somebody would go to break such an important story.
Sterilization of those who share this crap. To some degree I can understand not liking being told you have to do something (e.g. vaccinate you or your kids if everyone is healthy) or else you're indirectly harming others, but for those who smugly view themselves as skeptics that are generally more liberal and college educated can get fucked the most. They are likely ones who have bitched about conservatives sharing fake news, detest the lies being spouted by FNC, but are themselves hypocrites for believing in human caused climate change yet think all evidence based scientific research means that all their yoga/chiropractor/eastern medicine beliefs are bullshit.
Old people are the absolute worst about fake news. I guess because they spent the first 60 years or so of their lives only getting news from actually reputable sources, they just aren’t used to the reality of reading stuff that is either highly opinionated or outright false and knowing they need to check sources. I still see people non-ironically sharing articles from the Onion.
My mom can be pretty bad with this stuff. Every time she sends me an article from something she saw on Facebook, like at least 75% of the time it's some fake shit.
If you want to get really pissed off, go to that guy’s FB page and read the comments on basically anything he posts. You could find more likable people at a Westboro Baptist Church service. Vaccines are just the tip of the iceberg. Sunscreen, cough syrup, laundry detergent, fluoride... the conspiracy runs deep my friends.
Conspiracy theory people are so weird. It's like a mental disease or something. Kind of ironic when you think about it.
This person does not understand vaccines, antibiotics, polio, or scarlet fever. That’s an impressive amount of dumb to broadcast in such a limited space.
A couple of years ago, my nursing school class had a day scheduled to tour the CDC. Little did we know, it was also the day that anti-vaxxers were having a huge protest right outside the gates. We had no problem going in, but on the way out, they were screaming and blocking our path. Our nursing school uniform included a lab coat, so naturally the protesters thought that we were all CDC doctors, who just happened to be leaving the facility in our lab coats. I was crossing the street to get to the garage where I parked, when a delightful woman, featured in this video- , said the same thing to me that she says to the guy in the video; " did you know that they offered me $1.8M to not tell you what happened to my son?" Now, the video was taken the same day, I was attempting to cross the same street, and the chick's story was exactly the same. The only difference was that I was already halfway through the crosswalk, and she wasn't speaking calmly to me, she was screaming the question as I was trying to pass her. Her: "Did you know that they offered me $1.8M to not tell you what happened to my son?" Me: "You should have taken it." As you can imagine, this did not go over well. Our lovely heroine absolutely lost her shit, screaming in my face, impeding my progress on the sidewalk, taking my picture, and just generally losing her mind. Keeping in mind that she thought we were CDC docs because of our lab coats... Her: "Do you feel good about poisoning children with vaccines?!?!?" Me: *openly laughing at her* "Yes." Her: "You are horrible people, you're killing babies, don't you have a soul?? etc..." Me: *Still just laughing and trying to walk* Her: "And another thing! You think you're so hot, and cool with your sunglasses, but I would NEVER sleep with you!!" Me: "Wait, what?" Her: "I WOULD NEVER HAVE SEX WITH YOU!!!" Me: "Ummmm...Ok..." At this point, I wanted to continue, but my classmate was literally pulling me away from engaging with her. So later that day, we get home and one of the girls in my glass had managed to track down the woman's FB page. She had posted several pictures of me, and was trying to whip up her followers to try to identify me so that they could harass me further. Fortunately, nothing came of this. However, in her mind, I was now individually responsible for all vaccine promotion and baby genocide that was being instigated by the CDC. Apparently, I'm a pretty important guy. Over the next few days, she and her loyalists attempted to ID me (and the bird flipper from the video). I was monitoring their posts on a couple different FB pages. Holy shit, the crazy was strong... The pièce de résistance came about a week later. Our heroine started posting pictures of contrails in the sky from the day of the event. She said that many people had contacted her and said that they were sick after being at the rally, and that I, personally, must have poisoned them with lithium in the form of contrails. They contacted a law firm, and were trying to get in touch with anyone who had gotten sick at the rally. The obvious irony here is that these morons spread something amongst themselves, possibly because they weren't vaccinated. A couple days later, all of my pictures disappeared from her FB page, and the pursuit stopped. I don't know why, but I suspect that one of their genius members may have spotted the nursing school emblem on our lab coats, and figured out that we were not doctors. Whatever the case, that was the end of my adventures with the anti-vaxx movement, and the conclusion of what turned out to be one of the most hilarious days of my life. Spoiler BTW, here's a pic of my classmate pulling me away from the lovely lass.
Tecumseh That's hilarious, if there is a God then he will render them all sterile. People spitting in the face of true medical advancements that has made the world a better place really don't deserve to be on it.
Me and half my swim team got scarlet fever in high school. I would have preferred to be vaccinated against it.
