He had a signing day drive-by post on the FSU board a few years ago. Somebody told him to own his bullshit, and he promptly disappeared again.
"Teenage girl pickleball league starting in south Florida" and he'll be the first click on the thread
not giving us the satisfaction of an explanation or even an acknowledgment really is such a great unintentional troll job by the guy
it was weird at the time how into some of those threads he started/heavily participated in he was. but even more so after all of this. the mckayla maroney thread is just one of the most disgusting things on this board and he was all about it up until the time he left this board. wasn't there something about darian maybe being significantly younger than he was?
the thread title for the maroney thread was wild uncomfortable for a while and he got pissy when people said to change it iirc
I still don’t understand the “come give us an explanation” crowd, there’s no reasonable explanation. People just wanted him to come and take their bashing, which he deserved
i just want a look into the mind of what he was doing. like was he hoping she died and it got away from him? what was his thought process like when it fell apart?
just because there is no reasonable explanation doesn't mean that he didn't have a reason though I'm 100% positive it had to do with a desperate need for attention, I still genuinely want to know what his thought process was
iirc the first time they met was basically their parents were friends, she was like 12 and he was in college
for the most part tmb is pretty understanding. sure he’d get some shit but if he just came back and said “yeah i was in a shitty spot and let things get away from me” and joked about it, people would probably drop it and just move on imo. he’d be back to posting random braves updates in no time
I guess what I mean is that while a few people may have been satisfied to hear the reasoning and move on that I’m skeptical and believe most want the reason so they can condemn him for it
I posted this originally when this broke but in the OP he says she's 24 in 2019 but here's a post from 2017 where she's uhhh 24...
yeah well, I can only control how I'd react, think everyone's justified in wanting an explanation though but back to my original point, sterling not giving anyone the satisfaction, even though it's not done with trolling intent, still has the same effect in the end, we're all just left hanging and wanting
this is why he can never come back to the board under a new username he just has such a unique style, we’d sniff it out immediately
The Braves thread sorely misses Sterling. He left a big void and it has been filled with WED’s terrible posting
I desperately need to know how much he lifted, how much he weighs, where he did it. Really the whole story @TMB Weightlifting Thread
You got me thinking though, what feat of human strength and human perseverance can I claim that no one can check me on? (Unfortunately for your bestie, deadlift records aren’t exactly hard to look up).
Oh I know. I’m certain people on this board lift more than he did and none of us are near National Champion level
He actually was a pretty strong dude, but like the type of guy who throws 8 plates a side (with loose plates on top lol) on smith squat machine and then does 6 inch reps.
I could be misremembering but I believe one time he had his bro sit on top of the machine to add weight. Type of guy who does sniffing salts in between sets at an LA fitness in the burbs
Can you guys take this shit somewhere else? This thread is about fighting Darian and how sick the posters here are.
I wouldn't say "no" reason. He was trying to narrow that age gap so he didn't seem creepy. The mission, uh, failed.
How old was Sterling when all this went down? Unless he was mid 30s or something I can't see why he'd feel the need to lie about her being 24 as opposed to 22.
Not sure. There was a post on the last page quoting him talking about him being in college when she was like 12. But given that he's not the most reliable narrator, that could mean they are anywhere from 6 years apart to her actually being 6 when he was 35 at the time they first met.
The fact that anyone believed that a doctor called the CEO of the hospital, who actually came to see the patient within minutes, then admitted malpractice in front of both the family AND the CEO, then gave the family fourteen thousand dollars of his own money is just the most insane thing I've ever heard and anyone who believed it is a complete a fucking moron. Spoiler I believed it.
Can't lie, I never thought about it or doubted it at all until three stacks dropped that post. Was just happy for Sterling and his GF and then boom.
The Keyser Soze of pathological liars. In sixth grade we had a kid move in that, in his first week of school, claimed his grandpa took him to Woodstock '99 (this was in the fall of '99). A 12-year-old kid and 65-year-old man in the mud moshing around to Limp Bizkit. He later told us his uncle was so rich he'd steal thousands of dollars in cash every time he visited and the uncle never noticed. Sophomore year, a different move-in told us he was second in line to play Dennis the Menace in the live action film. He was a big, dumb kid that went from starting at left tackle on varsity in two-a-day to second string JV by the end of the season.
I think most generally people believe other people and give a lot of leeway as far as benefit of doubt.
in like second grade my friend told me he met the Undertaker and learned how to do the thing where he lifts his arms and the lights come on I was dubious but wanted to believe
While the CEO thing is obviously absurd and dumb as fuck in retrospect, the idea of it feels no more strange to me than making up a fake fiance story to get likes on tmb
I don’t think I was in TMBSL at this time. Someone mentioned in our college football fantasy league GroupMe that there were rumors this was bs so we went and called him out. Jigga, me, soup, Fran are all in that chat and were some of the first posts.
It's amazing the subcultures this place spawns off because I had first heard about it in a different GroupMe, also from Jigga
