I figure we will be having that year’s TMB tailgate in the parking lot at his wedding so we can all share in that special day.
Any updates? My wife, MIL, and I got talking about you guys tonight over dinner and remembered it had been a couple weeks since the last.
hey guys, you're right I haven't updated recently. Things have been SO positive its kind of hard to believe considering where we were a month ago. She's so strong and determined to get back to 100% health. Goes through hours and hours daily of treatment, speech therapy (still has trouble pronouncing words which is normal), strenuous physical therapy that amazes the nurses/doctors cause she always wants to keep going and never stops. The best news besides her getting better each day of course is that she is almost ready to leave the hospital after over 90+ days to go to a rehab facility. I can't clarify how big of a day this will be, and it could even be tomorrow. Thanks for the support fellas. It really is appreciated She has acne all over her body (due to the new liver) so pimples everywhere which you will see in his first picture. Maybe some of out TMB users who are in the medical field can expound on this CF3234 SP1 lechnerd Celemo
Sterling A not in the medical field. Just know a decent amount about the transplant process. No idea what the acne means. Sorry.
I just noticed, and wanted to point out, that even in the depths of his grief Sterling A took the time to add a tag when starting this thread. That is the stuff Elite Thread Starters are made of. Clown Baby should take notes.
Epidermal growth factor inhibition via the transplant drugs that and suppression of immune system can't control the bacteria that is causing the acne are three main theories. Side effect of the medications.
things are still trending in the right direction at this time. Its just such a long and strenuous and mentally/emotionally draining process. But she never breaks down and always wants to keep doing PT and working on getting better, hard to imagine how strong she is. I've learned so much these last couple months how much patience and mental toughness she has. Once again, I don't post on facebook so these are her mom's posts. It truly feels some days that she will never leave the hospital, but have to stay positive. Unbelievably hard to go through, she's gone though so many changes. How she can have a smile on her face every single day amazes everyone.
Came on the board to search for this thread to see if there were any updates. So glad the updates are positive.
tomorrow is the day she gets to leave the hospital. Been meaning to update this but wanted to wait until its finally here. This has been an ongoing battle/struggle for over 4 months now. Will have pictures by tomorrow. Maybe the best day I can remember. Very strong girl which is an understatement. Amazing ordeal. Incredible experience
I was thinking that the other day, so glad it wasn't just me! This has been a great story and it's super cool and good that she's going home.
Love seeing this thread updated. This is fantastic news Sterling A Beyond my capacity to express with a gif.
thanks guys, im kinda speechless about it at this point. I just can't believe the day is almost here for her to leave this place. Less than 24 hours. 64 nurses/doctors have already come in today to say good bye/wish you well/praying for you. Tomorrow will be unbelievable
goddamn wasn't prepared for a thread like this today. glad I'm working from home and not in the office all fucked up from reading. glad the updates are so positive Sterling A it takes very strong people to go through this like you have
