Friday Night Lights had bar none the best on screen married couple of all time and possibly the best portrayal of realistic life in a small football obsessed community ever. (the murder plot in season 2 aside)

Its not even really a football show, the football stuff is just the backdrop to a really really well made show about family, community and life.

It was more of a soap opera to me with an unrealistic guy at QB. I wanted to like it but didnt think it was that great. Maybe if I was in HS or college I might have liked it more.
I think how old you are at the time matters with shows and movies.

If it was more on football and less on boy girl, marriage issues I might have stayed with it. Just wasnt something I was in to watching at 25.
