Stoplight Observations. They are one of my favorite bands and happen to be from Charleston, SC. Amazing live, and all their albums are so good start-to-finish. Yeah, but maybe you’d look for suggestions of bands you could listen to and possibly become a fan of. The being from the same state thing is a bit limiting, but like I said, I misunderstood wtf he was saying.
Got this bust of Joan of Arc tattooed today. Didn’t get a good photo of the completely final product. I’ll have to get a proper photo when it’s healed up.
On that gamecock tattoo It’s new. I got it four or five months ago. This great artist, Luke Wasserman, is a friend of mine. I told him I wanted to cover up an old (tattoo) and I knew I wanted to cover it up with a gamecock. He researched it and drew it up by hand. To have an original piece of art like that; that’s not something anybody else has. I was like, ‘Wow. Man, that’s exactly what I wanted.’
My legs get pretty nicked up from hiking but no noticeable changes. Never had like a deep cut, tho. I'd imagine if you hurt yourself enough to cause a scar then it would be visible.
No. One of mine is right on top of a mole. The mole bled a lot more than the rest of my arm but came out fine.
no. Acne shouldn’t be an issue. Scars/burns/wrinkles/complexion can be again depending on the severity. A good artist should be able to work with your skin type.
That’s true. Didn’t think of that. But you’d assume it would be difficult for tattoo artists to get their hands on dental anesthesia. No idea tho.
My guy’s books opened today at noon and by 1:15, he was already full and closed them again. They will open again in three months. Crazy how quickly he fills up.
I’ll be “that guy” obviously great tattoo but how does it look when he doesn’t have his hand covering his face.
Thought the same. Prob just like spilled ink stuck to his hand. I’d never get one, but it’s one of the best hand/face cover tattoos I’ve seen.
I’m getting cremated so that might be difficult. I also am unsure if you’re being genuine or making fun of how some mourn.
Not making fun at all. Think it’s a cool (albeit creepy) way to remember your loved ones. Especially if the tattoo meant a great deal to the person that wore it. Same. Have one on my leg now and have been sketching out a lower leg sleeve. Also a full leg sleeve but not sure I’m committed to that.
Made an appointment for Thursday (as long as a pending blizzard doesn’t cancel it). Nothing as cool or super detailed as most in this thread but still pretty pumped, first one since probably 2012ish.
My appointment survived the -30 degree wind chill last night. Once I get a good pic I’ll post it. It’s on my upper thigh/quad so gotta make sure I’m not posting too much skin that lands me in the Fappening thread.
If I do that I’ll have to convince everyone this is actually a half leg sleeve to skew the dick to tat ratio.
Still healing a little bit but here are a couple pictures. For reference it’s a couple of my dog’s favorite toys. Pictures of my dog with said toys also attached. I didn’t anticipate so much shading, but I’m happy with how it turned out. I was debating between that and more of a 2D/clip art type look. Spoiler
He was my GF’s dog initially but after 4+ years he’s obviously become my dog too. At first he’d never play fetch at all, but I started throwing these with him and over time he figured it out. Now that’s all he wants to do with me, when I get home from work he sits by the door barking until I open it then he runs upstairs and gets one of these toys and waits for me by the stairs. I had a couple of other more generic ideas but I’m glad I waited and this one popped in my head because it’s different and feels more “personal”.
