And the tomatillos have a lot of water in them. I made my first batch (and my first time using the instant pot). The flavor was really deep and delicious. Next time I’m going to up spice level quite a bit though and prob cut the fish sauce in half.
Yea I made it and it turned out great in terms of the liquid. Just finished using the hand blender and gonna eat once I put my kid down for bed. I added a third jalapeño to add some heat. Hope my wife can handle it lmbo.
One more jalapeño won’t do much. I did four serranos instead of two jalapeños and the heat was very minimal.
Yea the heat wasn’t shit. It was fucking delicious though. Debating on if there’s something spice-wise that it’s missing. The flavor profile at the end of each bite is missing...something...it’s bothering me. Going heavy on the lime helped some.
Mine ended up real liquidy but we don’t have a hand blender. Also had no spice to it. Next time will add more jalapeño and habanero. Also have a regular blender now, which should help thicken the sauce.
I got one. Tested it out with some white chicken chili. Was pretty good. I’m going to try and make my own ramen broth with it soon.
2 pounds of chicken 2 15.5 oz cans great northern beans 2 4 oz cans diced mild green chiles 2-1/2 cups of corn 1-3/4 cups of chicken broth 2 tsp each - cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder 1 tsp each - kosher salt, Lawry’s seasoning salt, pepper 1/4 tsp of cayenne or more for spice level. I put a good bit Cook 15 to 20 min on high pressure. Stir it around and see if it needs anything else. Add 1/2 cup of half and half and 4 oz of light cream cheese. Cook for a few min more. Top it with whatever you want. We used cheese, green onions, and diced tomatoes. The gf made nachos with it and put some guacamole and sour cream.
along with the tandoori chicken, I'm making orange chicken this week https://sweetandsavorymeals.com/instant-pot-orange-chicken/
Did chicken noodle soup over the weekend that was excellent and pot roast last night. I prefer the pot roast I usually make in the oven or crock pot, I feel like it has better depth of flavor. That being said, what it was able to produce in a little over an hour was remarkable and I will definitely do it again since I don’t really have to plan ahead for it with this.
Gonna try the Indian rajma kidney beans this week. Talk about a recipe you can make for dirt cheap...my goodness.
Comforting Curried Chicken Stew http://makesmewhole.wholefoodsmarket.com/?type=article&slug=fall-instant-pot-recipes&utm_source=blog &utm_medium=social &utm_campaign=influencerglobal&utm_content=detoxblog Chicken noodle https://www.jocooks.com/recipes/instant-pot-chicken-noodle-soup/
this is my favorite soup recipe but I dunno how to make it in an instant pot https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1017145-kimchi-soup
made spaghetti and mac and cheese recently. How do you keep spaghetti noodles from clumping together?? They were all submerged and whatnot, but they were piled on top of eachother, causing them to stick during cooking, and several came out as a clump of semi-cooked noodles. It was good AF tho
Chicken Noodle Soup https://recipes.instantpot.com/recipe/pressure-cooker-chicken-noodle-soup/ Used this as a basis for cook times and procedure but I did add some other seasoning like thyme and oregano that aren’t included in there.
Was gifted one yesterday and made jambalaya today. Pretty cool cooker. http://lifewithdee.com/easy-jambalaya-in-the-instant-pot/
https://www.kitschencat.com/pressure-cooker-creamy-kale-pasta/ This doesn't sound good but it is and its ridiculously easy to make
https://tastesbetterfromscratch.com/instant-pot-ranch-chicken-pasta/ Been making this from that same lady, really good
making these over the next 2 weeks https://sweetpeasandsaffron.com/instant-pot-thai-chicken-curry/ https://ministryofcurry.com/dum-aloo-instant-pot/ https://www.jocooks.com/recipes/instant-pot-butter-chicken/
https://sweetpeasandsaffron.com/instant-pot-chicken-breasts-sun-dried-tomato-cream-sauce/ Pretty simple but came out really well. I doubled everything so I could have leftovers. I added more spice and cheese. Ate it with broccoli and cauliflower rice. I think it would go well with spinach.
Got this going now. https://damndelicious.net/2018/02/21/instant-pot-korean-beef/ Probably gonna throw some broccoli in.
made the chicken chili verde again this weekend. turned out a lot better than the first time. lacks serious heat tho. added some jalapenos but it wasnt enough. next time will add even more jalapenos as well as habenero.
I fail to see what makes this Korean. It does sound pretty tasty, though. I'd probably throw some gochujang in there instead of the sriracha.
Excellent. Highly recommend it. I ended up cooking it in portions and not actually altering the recipe at all.
