Can figure out some of them but captions would be nice. Anyone care to provide some for these photos?
The rape of Nanjing - these Chinese are about to be buried alive There are more, even more raw, photos out there. Some of them could easily be construed as NSFW so I refrained from posting them.
the shit that occurred in Asia during the beginning of the 20th century puts us westerners to shame up to 80,000 women were thought to have been raped in Nanking
Not a biography, nor 100% factual, but I recently read All the King's Men. Easily one of the best books I've ever read.
These are now pictures in American history... Inside the Situation Room as it the operation happened to kill bin Laden. Celebration outside the White House Celebration on Times Square
To have been in that room and watching the guys as they entered Pakistani territory, identifying and killing OBL, then watching them flying back out of Pakistan. All the time worrying about the Paks going after them with F-16's on a scramble, wow. That is one question that interests me, how did we get by their radar. Not just with the first two Blackhawks, but then with the replacement. And how did we do shit for 40 minutes next to a major Army base without a reaction. Guess two questions.
I took this pic a couple days ago while we were in Holt helping the clean up. Myfavorite picture I've ever taken and is my profile pic on fb along with some of my friends. Its from the devastation of the tornado.
They'll never tell us how they did it or they will when all of the stuff they used is antiquated technology.
If you Google "Interesting pics in history", this thread is the #5 result, right above detroit.momslikeme.com. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=interesting+pics+in+history+&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=
we can beat the paki radar easy enough imo, we're a lot better than they are especially in smaller missions like this and they were never going to scramble on us. even if they did figure out what we were doing, they knew who was in that compound. they weren't going to commit acts of war against united states troops to fuck up a mission to take out osama
that is my thought. My guess is that *they knew Osama was there but weren't going to tell us *they didn't know we were doing shit until it was too late *they were smart enough to stay back and not do anything once they realized what was happening
haha. Yea, I'm with you there. I think they would have gotten close, made radio communication, realized who it was, and told us to have a nice fucking day.
Situation Room in The West Wing was always dark. I'm calling bullshit. And lol at Biden getting a better seat than the President. Seriously can you imagine all the "oh shit" expressions when the 1st Black Hawk stalled? And the expressions when it was over?
we have plenty of electronic jamming devices that are strong enough to basically shut a city like new york down...we also have the ability to spoof transponder codes, as well as simulate aircraft in other areas... And scrambling jets still takes time, we can have ours in the air in about 15 minutes from the time the horn goes off...
I'm inclined to agree with this. We've been conducting drone bombings for months, only with permission from their government. Between the % of our foreign aid that Pakistan receives, and the support that the Pakistani government enjoys against the hostile factions in that country from us, they have nothing to gain by scrambling jets against us if they knew it was us. The last part is key. Appearing like they were scrambing jets =/= actually scrambling jets.
Was just watching a NatGeo thing on the Arellano Felix cartel in Tijuana. This first one is a pic of one of their chief enforcers, he was an American gang banger and went down there and brought a bunch of other gang bangers with him down there as muscle for the cartel. Him and some other guys surrounded a reporter's car and pumped it full of bullets, and a stray bullet from one of his own guys ricocheted and hit him in the eye. When he died a bunch of the Americans left and started informing on the cartel back in America. This is one of the two brothers that headed the cartel at it's strongest(Ramon Arellano-Felix). He and two hitmen were on their way to murder the second in command for the Sinaloa Cartel when some cops stopped them. He showed them a fake badge and they knew it was fake, so he pulled a gun and shot one cop in the head, then was killed
Obama has been inching closer and closer to getting my vote in the last few months. The combo of Trump and Bachman for the repubs along with this picture are making his odds look awesome for me
Rosalia Reta and Gabriel Cardona- hitmen for the Sinaloa Cartel based out of Laredo, Texas. Apparently they received military training in Mexico, then got sent to TX to live and wait for contracts to be given to them. They carried out at least 7 contract killings before they got caught, the dude on the right killed someone first when he was 13.
The Great Chinese Famine happened a little over 40 years ago, it was by far the biggest famine in world history. It was around a decade after Mao took power and he tried to do a Russia-esque Five Year Plan, which resulted in over 30 million dying and as many births being postponed due to that. They stopped producing food, and started mining operations and and focusing on industrial stuff instead. Most chinese do not even know that this shit happened, and they most definitely do not know that their leader was pretty much solely responsible for it. Such a shit-tier country...
yeah, this story pisses me off too because it wasn't like all their crops got disease or something, it was complete incompetence by the leader that they thought was a savior. It's crazy to think that the lowest 90% or more of china lives worse than the lowest 1% of the US, and it's a country of 1.3 billion or whatever
It's so crazy that all the Zodiac shit happened within an hour or two of where I grew up. I used to camp at Lake Berryessa all the time as a kid, where he attacked a couple and one of them managed to get away
So true. The majority of the population of China still lives like it's the 11th century, yet they're praised globally for their innovation.
And thanks to one-child policy they have a aging problem that makes our problem with the baby boomers and medicare look like a walk in the park.
Well when you have as many people as they do, the innovative group pretty much is on a par with us. I mean when you subtract our population from theirs, they still have more than a billion people.
