I don’t see how Michigan fans can continue to defend this guy. Have you been a basketball school for to long?
Giving the Cincinnati guy the benefit of the doubt....if Harbaugh actually thinks these kids should be able to move freely one time....why fight a kid trying to transfer to Cincinnati? Just an odd move based on the principle of current rules.
I have no clue as there's not a ton of info on this from the UM side because no one cares, and I'm not going to pretend to know what Harbaugh thinks because no thanks. I've read the premise online that "if Harbaugh thinks players should be able to move freely, he should let Hudson and anyone else transfer and play immediately," and I think that's unfair. The current transfer rules are in place to keep players where they are, and I don't think it's reasonable to tell Harbaugh that he should put his program at a competitive disadvantage to other programs by letting anyone who wants to walk out without having to sit like they would elsewhere. That would be like a coach running the ball 60 percent of the time and huddling every play when the rest of the country is chucking it deep and playing no-huddle.
He did NOT explicitly call out an exact case of a player leaving his team other than to highlight in an attempt to increase player’s rights* *except, per reports, has been uncooperative with the player in the exact case he highlighted that wished to transfer. Hopefully other CFB coaches are as brave as Harbaugh on this issue of players rights
This is a good point. People should only follow their beliefs when it comes to the welfare of others when they 100% know with certainty it won’t negatively impact themselves personally.
Nope, everything is fine in AA and they take the game so seriously. We're just more talented than them bc we won again.
Luckily, no. A vast majority won't turn on Harbaugh for the same reason Trump supporters won't turn on him. They love that he triggers people even if he's not winning anything of note.
I hope your Blu Ray player breaks, your Netflix subscription gets messed up, and you aren't able to watch Ragnarok for at least one month.
is that a harbaugh quote, thats cute. Although i do think he has his bases covered with the most players we recruit part, not play for us, sign with us, but recruit. I can be the coach of Northwestern tomorrow and do that. Fail miserably, but i could recruit those guys
Competing implies the possibility of winning, Jim. Gotta do the latter against Ohio State before you can claim the former.
The quote is from Matt Dudek, who is the recruiting coordinator and a known tool. He might be being a bit hyperbolic.
I’m surprised an adult male who refers to himself as “Matty” and has a twitter handle like “Thee_Matty_D” would be a tool.
I mean is there a better recruiting guy fit than EJ Holland and Jim Harbaugh? Edit: For those unaware Holland left the ND site for the Michigan site because Tom Loy made that ass quit.
This is my favorite post today. The thread exists for the sole purpose of giving the board a place to dogpile on Michigan, and a South Carolina fan comes in just to take a swipe at Clemson. Thank you
1. I see Bacon going with the hardly specific "3X more in engineering" for 2018 versus 2004. Sounds great, right? I'm betting that the 2004 team had all of 1 or 2 players majoring in engineering. If the number of players currently majoring in engineering were all that impressive, then I'm sure Bacon would have given us the actual number. I mean, from 2012... 2. So 80% of the 2004 team was in general studies versus only 6 for 2018? All that tells me is that UM has decided to play word games. Look at the 2019 roster (link), click on the players, scroll to the bottom, and read the subtitle "Personal." You'll see a lot of the highly generic "College of Literature, Science and the Arts," which is where general studies is located. A few have the distinction of "Enrolled in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts, majoring in General Studies." In summation...
What's the story here today? People are mad at the Michigan's recruiting coordinator? Ohio State fans still don't understand what the general studies major is?
