And this is a down year for Michigan talent wise. I can understand starting to bury Jim next year but he's done a really good job so far.
Who's fault is that? He's going to finish the regular season 8-4 in year 3 and hasn't been anyone worth a damn in a while. I'm not saying he's a bad coach but those saying he was on Saban and Meyer's level need to admit they were overrating him as a cfb coach.
We did beat three top-15 teams last year We sucked this year, but let’s not try for the inside-the-park homer when you have an easy stand-up double.
The dates represent the timeframe in which people would consider the University of Michigan to be good at football.
Agree he hasn't done great thus far, but I don't think we will be having this conversation after his 6th season.
Think his ”rating” has dropped over the last 18 months or so, so I’m not sure the thread title still applies. But he is the most overpaid, and very likely an indirect reason UF is about to pay Mullen ~7mil
In general I disagree with this. Though his star may have fallen some, I still think most neutral parties would still rate him higher than his resume alone would justify at the current time. Yes, it was more ridiculous when everyone had him as top 5 in cfb and #2 in the B1G before he coached a game at Michigan, but I think it is still true now just to a lesser degree despite the clickbait getting written. In regards to his pay, he is a well credentialed head coach at one of the richest programs in college football. He makes what I would expect someone in that position to make.
I think pay should reflect ability. He proved he was capable of coaching and leading an NFL team, which is considerably different from college. Ask the dozens of failed NFL coaches that have ruled the college landscape at some point in their careers. He’s the highest paid coach in cfb, and most obviously not the most capable one of leading a cfb team. So I think he’s overpaid.
The Bears have 2 good running backs a young QB and a decent defense. It's time to escape this nightmare Jim.
i have a friend (yes, surprising i know) that went to osu and is hence a huge osu fan. he defends harbaugh like no other, its really embarrassing.
I’m curious as to how many seasons since 1948 that the Michigan wolverines would consider themselves not also runs?
I don’t have to talk shit about Michigan. Half a title since my father was born, so it was a legit question. That being said, you are right
lol please they had a qb wear #97 or something a few years ago and he was awful but universally praised by UM fans for recognizing their history
classy player, classy number, classy position, classy post by classy poster, classy response. all in all, classy, what else we need here?
That guy came closer to beating us than any Michigan QB since, so he must not have been as awful as I remember.
