"Cousin Sal, I was doing my research on Matt Corral and I found out he beat up Wayne Gretzky's son in high school, I'm all the way in on this guy! Belichick loves guys who have that 'Fuck you!' attitude to them and this kid can compete!"
I think Mac Jones is a better player than Purdy. Purdy is playing with a great supporting cast and Mac is throwing to the Dolphins 2020 receiving rejects with a Chiefs WR reject mixed in.
Are you saying Jones would be better than Purdy in the 49ers offense or Purdy would be worse than Jones in the Patriots offense?
Both. Because Mac Jones is flat out better than Purdy. Purdy processes the field well and I like his aggressiveness but his accuracy is really spotty.
I for one am happy that the Iowa State player lucked into a good situation and the Bama QB did not. Mac already got to play with Smith in college.
Flat out better…. I’m not sure our patriots posters are sure Jones is flat out better than Bailey Zappe
i wasn't serious. Purdy, Jones, along with many other QBs would do fine in that offense. Shanahan has shown he doesn't need much to flourish. The funniest thing is he let Twitter bully him out of taking Mac Jones when it probably would have worked out.
Flat out better was probably too confident of a phrase to use. Hard to project guys I to different situations with certainty. But I do feel like Mac is better than his current situation makes him look even if he's not ever gonna a guy that scares you. Zappe just got cut and cleared waivers before the season. I am pretty sure Mac would have been claimed if he were the one cut.
And when at least a third of the league would take him over their current QB, then it’s hard to argue he wasn’t worth a first round selection.
It's not the end all but he's 6th in the league in yards without a single decent WR and BoB at OC. He's not great by any means but there's a lot of bad QB's in the league. Bucs Titans Bears 49ers Zona Falcons Jets Saints maybe? Steelers?
lol na I'm not going to stan for Mac like I did Tua. Mac is a middle of the road QB. You can win if he's surrounded by a lot of talent and a good D but he's not going out to be your focal point. If you can upgrade, you should, but he's good enough that you're not going to have a top pick to do so.
Na, more like 20 or so. You can do the %'s if you want to get technical on the terminology if you want to to. Normal people get what I was saying. He's not great, he's not terrible. He's just a guy.
Today: Jets, Falcons, Steelers, Cardinals, Broncos, Titans. Not sure about 49ers, Bucs or Bears. Bucs and Bears will be yesses by midseason
