Jameis hasn’t been as good of a pro as people thought. He has had shitty coaching and a bad defense most of his career though. Jameis (on the field at least) isn’t one of the bucs biggest problems. He isn’t good enough to cover their flaws though.
Let’s not forget that he was outplayed by Treon Harris () in one of those games and had 4 INTs. So, if losses don’t count against his legacy because the defense is bad, does he get credit for the wins when he plays like dogshit and the defense wins the game?
completed 65% of his passes & threw for 350. all other things being equal, the below would be a Heisman winning QB not playing well enough to beat a top tier opponent - http://www.espn.com/college-football/boxscore?gameId=270080194
and danny wuerrfel threw something like 5 INT's and got sacked a million times in 3 games vs FSU, who the hell cares?
Bucs basically need to play at the chiefs level on offense to win. Jameis isn’t playing and has never played at the level the chiefs and mahomes are at. He’s solid but not pushing elite.
You mean the greatest coach in oregon football history that you were devastated about losing? No problem
The Bucs are 2-1 in games without Jameis this season (only loss was by 3 points). They are 0-2 in games he has played in. Really makes you think.
I wasn’t necessarily talking about this game, but Bucs fans have cited the shitty OL in defense of Jameis for years.
Listen both of these cats are shitty in the league. This argument is stupid trying to figure out who is better or worse than the other. They both got drafted by shitty organizations who haven’t done enough to plug the holes around them. Mariota doesn’t have any skill players Winston has a shitty O line. NFL is brutal to QBs who don’t have shit to work with. FWIW watching Winston shit down his leg like he did against Oregon was awesome. Thank you for taking taggart. Go Dux. Bye.
maybe in a still frame like that. on the replay it looked like he was going to get crushed at about the 2 yard line
I just turned this game on, and that was about the third play I watched. Guess this one's on me, fellas :/
Bucs really need to move on from him. The jags could follow the bengals model and go all in and see if a team of shitheads can win it all. Jameis to the jags in the offseason makes too much sense.
The jags committed solid money to bortles last offseason. Can’t expect them to make decisions that make sense.
