A&E was a three episode series about what they are calling the golden age of SKs. Dealing with Dahmer, Bundy, BTK, Greenriver and Gacy who where all active at the same time.
He killed 70 people in a 4 year period?!? How have I not heard of this dude till now. Good lord that’s a lot in a relatively short time. What is that, once every 3 or so weeks
That's why I posted his head. I started to look into him this morning and ended up working. Plan on looking for a good resource on him.
Ton of rumors swirling around about this pair of guys who were kidnapping and torturing women and were dismembering them and eating them in SW Missouri latest victim who hasn’t been found yet was the child of a woman who went missing back in 2007 near this same area. Detectives found nude photographs of her caged up on one of the guys phone, and are currently awaiting DNA results for additional charges. The two men are being held on kidnapping charges for now, but rumors are there have been several remains found on the property. https://fox4kc.com/news/missouri-ne...ther-also-victim-of-mysterious-disappearance/
Hulu has a good six part series from ABC News on serial killers in the LA area during the late 70s/early 80s. It’s called City of Angels and covers: -Hill Side Strangler -Freeway Killer -Sunset Strip Killer -Dating Game Killer -Toolbox Killer https://www.google.com/amp/s/deadli...ngeles-serial-killer-abc-news-1234875057/amp/
I finished it. It was pretty good but they didn’t really follow up on the girls who were posed on the side of the road and they didn’t go into probably the most heinous serial killer that was going on at the same time: Robert Kraft. It’s definitely worth watching but felt like it should have been longer and they left out some stuff and spent way too much time on the Hillside Stranglers.
I agree, they also spent not enough time on, and I’ll disagree slightly on the worst because I think these guys were every bit as bad, the toolbox killers they just happened to get caught quicker. John Douglas called Bittaker the worst person he has ever had to create a profile for. Just evil at its highest. I believe they still use (at least they used to) the audio recording of them torturing their victims in the in FBI because nothing can get to a person quite like it. Kind of a mental preparation dealing with the worst, first.
you can look up the transcript for the Toolbox tape that they played in court. It’s pretty fucking awful and that’s just the transcript. Look up Kraft though if you haven’t. He would slice men open with broken bottles, stick ink pens up their cock hole, etc. Such a fucking heinous, evil person. I think his body count is near 40 too.
thats right, I’ve read about him, forgot (thankfully) the details. I’ve heard that you can read the transcripts and I refuse to do it. I just can’t. The 60’s, 70’s and 80’s were a crazy fucking time down the entire I-5 from Washington to California. The worst of the worst.
Toolbox only killed one person though correct? I’ve listened to a podcast on them and it’s horrible but I think that’s why they don’t get lumped in with the “heavy hitters”.
Toolbox Killers tortured and killed 5 teenage girls. That number may be why they don’t get talked about a lot but they were definitely fucked; they would beat them with hammers, mutilate their genitalia with pliers, stab them with ice picks in the ears and breasts. You can find footage of people running out of the court room crying as they played the audio tape the two recorded of their last murder during their trial.
Watched a 45 minute YouTube video on this guy last night. He had some issues to say the least and a real pension for shoving things up dudes asses.
I don’t know if I’ve heard that one. I was thinking about this psycho, Toy Box Killer. Absolutely insane. They only killed one person but there’s no telling how many victims they had raped and tortured that don’t even know what happened to them. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Parker_Ray
yeah he apparently did the sock shoving so much because of how often dudes would shit themselves while he was torturing them
Just watched the doc about the Atlanta child murders on HBO max. I've always been fascinated/frustrated with that case. I've always thought Wayne Williams did some but not all of the murders but I'm not even sure of that take tbh. Crazy no one was ever tried for any of those murdered children. Anyway thoughts?
He was certainly a convenient target to get the media off the Atlanta PD’s case about the child murders. The fact that nothing ever came out again after he was put away does not help his case.
Agree on all points. They really needed to solve that case politically I mean it's possible other suspects died/were incarcerated and would make for very bad timing for Williams if he's innocent. Although hard to get passed him being on the bridge at like 3am when he initially became a suspect
Three episodes into the Dahmer series on Netflix. Man was he disturbed. May have been the worst of the “famous” serial killers
On on episode 8 rn. I like how they dangled the “he had a bad childhood” narrative that dominated other series.... and then nope, he was just a evil piece of shit who wanted to butcher and eat people. Can't wait to watch him get his head bashed in.
Woman claims father murdered up to 70 people years ago THURMAN, Iowa. (KETV) – A woman in Iowa is claiming her late father was a serial killer who murdered dozens of people years ago. The woman also told police where the victims’ bodies were allegedly buried. Authorities in Fremont County are now investigating the validity of her story. Police said Lucy Studey claims her father, Donald Studey, was a serial killer who murdered somewhere between 50 and 70 people. She also claimed she helped him dump bodies in a well on their former property. The claims have prompted authorities to investigate. “We are actively investigating this, and who wouldn’t?” Fremont County Sheriff Kevin Aistrope said. Aistrope said cadaver dogs were brought in after the woman shared her story. “Cadaver dogs looked around the area,” Aistrope said. “I’m not going to say it was near the well, but they did indicate something.” Authorities said no bodies or bones were immediately found. Donald Studey died in 2013. An older sibling of Lucy Studey denies the claims, but authorities are still pursuing the leads with the help of the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation. Seems like it would be a quick turnaround on figuring out if you dumped 70 bodies on your property or not but I guess not.
I was reading about this last night. I guess it's somewhat complicated. The spot she claims is an old well that has been filled in or something like that and they think some could be 90 feet deep. So it would apparently cost them 300k to excavate the area.
She claims it he was going to other places and bringing them back. Mostly run aways and sex workers. Basically the plot to the most recent season of Dexter.
Delphi murders. An arrest made and a press conference on Monday. The guy arrested resembles both sketches actually.
Yea, police wouldn’t go into many details but it sounds like he staged the shit, took some souvenirs, and basically has all the calling cards of somebody that had been planning on doing something like this a long time (or has done previously). Really disturbing case, even with the limited information released.
